En Masse Entertainment has announced its intentions to release its upcoming action-focused MMO,TERA, in the spring of next year. The title was originally expected to launch this fall. “Adding time to our schedule will help us ensure we exceed people’s expectations forTERA,” said publishing VP, Chris Lee. “The game’s action combat and depth has generated a lot of interest, and we are committed to making sure every aspect of the game lives up to our standard of quality....

I’ll never forget my reaction when I first heard that Nintendo had chosen to go with the name Wii rather than Revolution. Not surprisingly, my mind flashed the word spelled “Wee” as it is above. Luckily, the console is such a success that most people have forgotten about the days of Photoshopping urine all over early pictures of the little white box, and Nintendo has pretty much shown that they can name a console Kox or Dix or whatever they damn well please and still come out filthy stinking rich....

A new Guitar Hero is an inevitability, but now it’s got a name —Guitar Hero: Warrior of Rock. This according to anAmazon listing, which followsSiliconera’s spottingof a USPO trademark for the same name. If the name plays perfectly into the title, which was recently revealed in the latest issue ofOfficial Xbox Magazine. The game is said to feature a “Quest Mode” (narrated by Kiss frontman Gene “I’ll Do Anything for a Dollar” Simmons) that will have players recruiting rock stars along the way....

This is almost a Captain Obvious post, but hey, I’ll take any excuse to talk aboutApe Escape 4that I can get. Not seeing the game at E3 10 was easily one of my biggest disappointments of the show. Sony still seems resistant to doing anything with their PS1-era franchises, probably out of a desire to keep up their self-perceived “cutting edge” image. You’d think they look at all the money Nintendo’s making off their +10-year-old franchises and get the hint; nostalgia sells....

These new threads are already upsetting fans, with Ayane’s costume in particular causing distress among her creepy admirers. Considering most of these characters have always looked at least faintly ridiculous, I don’t see what the big problem is, but maybe some of you long-term fans can illuminate me....
