Yesterday, I bought my girlfriendLips. It’s a karaoke game in theSingStarmold, developed by the brilliant minds at iNiS Corp., most notably tied to theElite Beat AgentsandGitaroo Man. I’m not much of a singer unless I’m in the shower and the apartment is empty, but my girlfriend loves the genre. I noticed as she was playing over a two-hour span (while I was working in the office, writing news for all of you) that she earned several hundred Achievement points within that small timeframe....

Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforceis coming to the Xbox 360 and PS3, and that doesn’t mean much to a lot of you becauseDynasty Warriorsgames are just one long endless stream of same thing. Twenty years ago today, the Sega Genesis blast processed its way onto North American shores, ushering in one of the few times that Nintendo’s console dominance has ever been legitimately challenged. Gamers have long thought that Eat Sleep Play — co-founded by David Jaffe — have been working on a newTwisted Metaltitle for the PlayStation 3. But if Jaffe’s latest Twitter comments are to be believed, that may not be the case. Responding to analyst Michael Pachter’s comments on the latest episode ofBonus Round, Jaffe has seemingly shut down the long-standing rumor. “I wish we were making a newTwisted Metal,”he wrote in responseto Pachter calling the title out....

Japan’s government isn’t letting Sony turn the network back on until it’s sure things are safe. According to reports, Japanese officials still have some outstanding concerns that Sony needs to address before flipping the switch. Apparently, Sony’s counter-hacking security measures are not fully in place yet, and Japan demands to see even further protection for consumers in place....
