The new TV model from Sony, BRAVIA KDL-22PX300, doesn’t seem like that much on paper. It’s only 22″ and only does 720p, but it does have one surprise under the hood: a PS2. Hidden in its oversized, blocky base is a PlayStation 2 game system, integrated right into the set. This Bravia, which seems to be a European model, comes with Bravia Internet Video Access for YouTubing and the like. It also comes with integrated sound and one PS2 controller, saysEurogamer....

You might have already known that composer Inon Zur was back to score BioWare’sDragon Age II. But here’s a little surprise: English artist Florence + The Machine (Florence Welch) will appear on the soundtrack, as well. “I’m Not Calling You A Liar (Dragon Age II Varric’s Theme)” is a “re-imagining” of a track from Florence’s 2009 album,Lungs. It’s not a new recording, however — Florence’s vocals were isolated from the original track, with music reworked by Zur forDragon Age II....
If I had to guess what the highest grossing new IP of 2009 was, I probably would not have pickedDJ Hero. Nothing against Activision’s game or anything, but I didn’t think it made that big of a dent last year. It did, though. It pulled in more than a dozen best music game awards in the US and made plenty of “best of” lists for ’09. Even more than that is the NPD Group’s ranking of the game as the number one new IP for 2009 for both North America and Europe, according to this press release we just read....
LA Noirehas been in development for awhile. By “for awhile” I mean reportedly since 2003. WhileGame Informerhas seen the game, we haven’t. In fact, not many have, from what we can tell. But according to Rockstar’s parent company, the game is out this year, at least according to its last financial reports. So everyone act surprised when learn that retailers, includingGameStopandAmazon, have pushed the game’s release into February of 2011....
PlayStation Home has been an inexplicable success for Sony ever since the poor man’sSecond Lifewas launched last year. However, if recent figures are correct, it might start to finally make sense — Home just keeps attracting curious people, who visit once and thenrarely return. Sony’s Peter Edwards has revealed that over seven million people are signed up to PlayStation Home, but this is contrasted by a return rate of 25 – 30%, meaning that most people have just signed in, checked it out, realized it was awful, then left....

At last, some much-needed closure.Project Offsetis — or should I say was? — a game we’ve been talking about on occasion for years now. It was a fantasy-centric shooter with phenomenal visuals, especially back when it was originally teased in, uh, 2006? I can’t even keep the specifics straight it’s been so long. After a while, you got the sense that it was destined to be a mythical, fancy-looking tech demo....

During an event for in-game advertisers held by Massive Inc. earlier today, Activision Blizzard announced a boatload of games, most of which are sequels you knew were coming eventually. MTV Multiplayerwas on the scene, and reported thatGuitar Hero 5,Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, an untitledTony Hawkproject, and a Bizarre Creations-developedJames Bondgame are currently being worked on. Starting this Sunday, April 25th, Xbox Live Gold users will be able to watch the first two episodes of “Bright Falls,” a live-action series which sets up the events of Remedy’s upcoming psychological thriller,Alan Wake. Episodes will then be released weekly until the finale on May 17th, which is right before the game comes out. What an amazing coincidence. People who don’t have Gold accounts aren’t going to be shut out in the cold....
