All joking aside,somethingis coming from Nintendo this year, according to GameStop CEO Dan DeMatteo. How does he know? Nintendo told him to reserve some shelf space. “We think there will be a Nintendo key property coming out by the end of the year,” he toldCNBC....

As I suspected,Dragon Age: Originsexpansion “Awakening” is moreDragon Age. I played the first 20 or so minutes of the expansion at GDC this afternoon, moving my new Gray Warden commander through the Darkspawn-infested Vigil’s Keep and up to a mini-boss fight against a special speech-capable member of the Blight. I didn’t take the several opportunities to use the new special skills, but I did have a big takeaway from the short demo courtesy of online content producer Fernando Milo: the expansion will be more balanced than the core game....

Much has been made ofGears of War 3‘s vast multiplayer options, to the point where you might forget that the game has a narrative campaign. Epic Games has reminded us all of this fact today, teasing the game’s campaign mode in a new video. The video is stupidly brief, and says very little of anything. It does, however, tease a more full reveal, slated to appear on the British ITV Channel after some shitty little soccer game....

That’s why Sony is stepping up to the plate next month to provide 7-Eleven, Blockbuster and Riteaid with PSN cards. With the launch ofGod of War IIIthe story of Kratos is coming to an end, and while Sony has already stated that it isn’t the end of the franchise it is the end of this particular tale. It’s been far too long since we have talked about Good Old Games, but that has more to do with me being unfamiliar with many of the DRM-free service’s recent additions than anything else. My experience with many of these games is sadly lacking, but not today. Lips flap a lot at E3. After all everyone is there to make a splash.
