Capcom has revealed today that Crimson Viper will be added to the game roster, joining the ten already playable World Warriors. No word on when C. Viper will be added, but it’s likely she’ll find her way into the game as a free, future update. Capcom had previously added Cammy and Zangief to the line-up, both of which are playable in single-player and versus modes....

Yasunori Mitsuda is my hands-down favorite composer. Period. Games or otherwise. He scored the Chrono series, much of the Xeno series and many other videogames. He’s working on a new game calledLime Odysseynow. As a sort of Christmas gift to his fans, he has released a lovely piano-only version ofLime Odyssey‘s theme song on his webpage (let the Flash load) along with holiday imagery. I may never get to play the Korean MMORPG, but I’m definitely buying the score after hearing this beautiful song....

In the first 24 hours of being live on Facebook,CityVilleattracted over 290,000 players. That’s over twice as well asFrontierVilleperformed when it hit the service in June. AppData, an independent research site which tracks social games and their developers, currently listsCityVilleas having 1.2 million monthly active users. I’m a huge Tiger Woods fan. The man completely revitalized the sport of golf at a time when it desperately needed an infusion of youth, color (literally and figuratively), and energy. Desert Zombie: Last Standis a third-person shooter powered by Epic’s Unreal Development Kit. As you can tell from the footage above, it features lots of undead bastards and plenty of guns to kill them with. Looks like a laugh, provided they make the controls decent. The game’s in it’s alpha stage, and it looks pretty good so far. Knock it out at the right price, and I’m all about it....

Today during Activision Blizzard’s earnings call, it was revealed that the game will have “external beta testing” during the third quarter of this year,” based on current estimates. Blizzard president Mike Morhaime says that while the team is working hard to getDiablo IIIout this year, quality is more important than a specific release date. Earlier in the call, it was said that if we don’t get another game from Blizzard in 2011, we can look for a minimum of two titles to come out in 2012....
