Breaking: An Xbox 360 red-rings in San Jose Wal-mart

If you’re anything like me, you’ve personally seen a red-ringed Xbox 360ten times. Microsoft support and I are like best friends. Except Microsoft is sort of a jerk, constantly sending me refurbished units that break within weeks. And it looks like one Wal-mart in San Jose will soon be singing the warped motherboard blues, too. Destructoid reader and tipster “cainraw” shot us this image, taken from what we assume is their local Wal-mart....

Change fate, manipulate the world with your Ghost Trick

WithAce Attorneycreator Shu Takumi behind the upcomingGhost Trick: Phantom Detective, the expectations for a quirky, original title are already astronomical. Christmas gift from Chrono Trigger composer Y. Mitsuda

Yasunori Mitsuda is my hands-down favorite composer. Period. Games or otherwise. He scored the Chrono series, much of the Xeno series and many other videogames. He’s working on a new game calledLime Odysseynow. As a sort of Christmas gift to his fans, he has released a lovely piano-only version ofLime Odyssey‘s theme song on his webpage (let the Flash load) along with holiday imagery. I may never get to play the Korean MMORPG, but I’m definitely buying the score after hearing this beautiful song....

CONFIRMED: Tiger Woods = Jesus, EA advertisers = geniuses

I’m a huge Tiger Woods fan. The man completely revitalized the sport of golf at a time when it desperately needed an infusion of youth, color (literally and figuratively), and energy. Not only that, he’s one of the best golfers in the history of the sport, with such incredible performances as his playoff win in this year’s U.S. Open at Torrey Pines, which he pulled off with adouble stress fracture and a torn ACLboth in his left leg....

Desert Zombie bringing zombies and the desert to iOS

Desert Zombie: Last Standis a third-person shooter powered by Epic’s Unreal Development Kit. As you can tell from the footage above, it features lots of undead bastards and plenty of guns to kill them with. Looks like a laugh, provided they make the controls decent. The game’s in it’s alpha stage, and it looks pretty good so far. Knock it out at the right price, and I’m all about it....

Deus Ex: Human Revolution is looking too good to be true

Here’s a brand new trailer forDeus Ex: Human Revolution, perhaps the most revealing one so far. It takes a look at how you can approach objectives in multiple ways, deal with characters, and what effect your actions have on the world. It all looks so very, very beautiful. Human Revolutionlooks utterly astounding, and seems to have already impressed even theDeus Exloyalists. The skeptic in me says this is all too good to be true, but the gamer in me says DO WANT RIGHT NOW!...
