I went to GameStop last week to pre-ordermy collector’s edition copyofAssassin’s Creedand was disappointed on two accounts. One, I was told that I just missed the cut-off for collector’s edition reserves (curses!), and two, the Xbox 360 version was mysteriously slated for release a week after the PS3 version. The good news — they were wrong! Assassin’s Creedhits stores this Wednesday, November 14, and we couldn’t be happier. My hands-on time with the game has me amped to play more, and early reviews of the game have been overwhelmingly positive....

As a PlayStation Portable owner, the most exciting news surrounding the PSPgo was the plan to have most games release on PlayStation Network day-and-date with their UMD brethren. Stores? While Dr. Kawashima’s Nintendo DSBrain Trainingtitles set out to fix our heads, you’d have to wonder if something is wrong with his. It seems that he hasn’t bothered to take any of the 22 million dollars in royalties that he’s earned for himself. This AFP articlesays that Kawashima’s royalties have been poured into a 300 million yen laboratory at Tohoku University’s Institute of Development, Aging and Cancer, where he works. Another lab costing 400 million yen is also on the way....
