TikGames has announced that its upcoming game,Hamsterball, is hitting PlayStation Network this Thursday for $9.99. It’s basically what you’d expect from a game calledHamsterball— hamsters (in balls) race around timed obstacle courses. The game will feature solo play, split-screen, and a six-player “Sumo Mode” that TikGames likens to “King of the Hill.” (The game mode, not the television show.) You get 50 levels for your ten bucks, and if you’ve played Monkey Ball and thought “Man, I wish these monkeys were hamsters,”Hamsterballsounds like a bargain....

Props should be given to Flying Wild Hog for its newHard Resetpatch, which addresses many of the common criticisms brought up by reviews, and of course, players like you. Arkham Asylum 2is coming, but considering we know that it won’t be taking place in Arkham Asylum itself that name would be pretty darn stupid. It would be like naming a game Alcatraz and then having it take place in San Francisco. Unneeded metaphor is unneeded, but we may now have some hints at what the game’s name will be and what will be going on it.WB has registereda series of domains clearly related to the upcoming game....

I wont let myself get truly excited for a game until I see it in action. The Kinect can do a few cool things, and there’s some neat experiences likeChild of Eden, but I need more to feel like I got my money’s worth for this strange bar with eyes. There’s 10 million Kinect units out there, but not a lot of games. Microsoft aims to push out more Kinect-enabled games to help this situation. We know about the first-party push for Kinect functionality, but now it looks like some XBLA Kinect-enabled games are also coming....

In a financial update today, Midway has revealed (among other things) that the PlayStation 3 version of Epic Games’Unreal Tournament 3has been delayed until Q1 2008. The game was originally set to ship this November alongside the PC version of the title, which is still on track for release this year. Epic’s Vice President, Mark Rein chimed in on theofficial Epic forums, giving PS3 owners some hope. “As a public company, Midway felt an obligation to its shareholders to let them know about the possibility of a delay,” he wrote....
