A viral video has hit the Internet today, rumored to be a teaser trailer forKane & Lynch: Dog Days, the sequel to Eidos’ sub-par but tragically promising co-op shooter. Get this: At last week’s MI6 marketing conference, SCEA’s marketing man Peter Dille said that purchasing intent for the PS3 is up 36 percent since the “It Only Does Everything” campaign started last year. The Wild West is a perfect subject for videogames. The mythic adventures of cowboys, lawmen and outlaws in America lend themselves so well to the medium that one wonders why there haven’t been more games based during the time period. One of the aspects of the genre that lends itself perfectly to gaming is the shootout, but aside from somelackluster multiplayerin a few western games there hasn’t really been a great way to get your friends together and attempt to rob a bank or duel at high noon....

We kicked off the fourth series of Backlog which, as voted on by you lovely people reading Destructoid, has me playing Hideo Kojima’sotherseries,Zone of the Enders.
