Indie titleMax & the Magic Marker is coming to the Nintendo DS this holiday, publisher Easy Interactive has announced. The game seems like a perfect fit for the handheld, too. At its core,Maxis a platformer, with the twist having players drawing objects into the game world to complete puzzles. In the PC and Wii versions of the game, the marker was simulated by mouse movements and an on-screen pointer, respectively; using a stylus sounds like a much more comfortable and fitting option....

EA’s reboot of theMedal of Honorseries, taking it out of the more traditional WWII-era and into Afghanistan, has probably been a long time coming. Now, we know exactly how much longer that coming is going to take. The publisher has announced thatMedal of Honorwill be releasing in North America on October 12th, followed by Europe on the 15th. Samit was impressed with the presentation of the game at apreview of the gameback in March....

When Xbox Live Arcade was first conceived, games had to stick to a strict file size limit of 50 MB, a size deemed impractical when large titles likeCastlevania: Symphony of the Nightmade their appearance on the service. MS upped the size cap to 150 MB, a limit that has served the platform well up until now, with Capcom’s hefty offerings on the horizon. In response, The ‘Soft has nowincreased the size limitto 350 MB, more than double the previous cap....

Microsoft has revealed that its deal with Activision and Infinity Ward to keep downloadable content forModern Warfare 2exclusive to the 360 for 30 days. Speaking withEurogamer, a spokesperson said “So it will be available on other platforms, but you get to try and play on Xbox 360 first.” The same spokesperson also used the wording “content packs” — not the plural. This may indicate that future Modern Warfare 2 will also be exclusive to 360 for a limited time as well....

Don’t ask me why I’m so excited about the news thatPersona 3is coming to the PSP. I already own both editions of the game (the original andFES) and was actually im the middle of aFESreplay when this news hit. You know what though? I’m going to play it all over again, because the time spent playingPersona 3is worth it. Siliconerareports that you can choose at the beginning of the game to play as the original male protagonist or the new female, and that it is based on The Journey portion ofFES(in other words, the updates made to that release will be included)....

We heard that it might be coming a bit back, but now EA confirms it. In a financial results call pre-release, EA confirms thatNeed for Speed: Shift 2is coming in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2011, so don’t get too excited quite yet. It’ll be a slow-speed climb uphill until then. For now it’s more like Need for Screenshots. Expect to see it on both consoles and PC. We’ll have more for you as it comes down the line from EA....

As we hurtle headlong toward the Tokyo Game Show, Square Enix has unleashed a trailer for the PS3 version ofNeiR, known asNieR Replicant. It’s got plenty of violence, epic music, and sexy intersexuals, which is really all you could ask for. I must say I am digging the design of this game, especially when it comes to the monsters. The creatures shown in the video are incredibly freaky and unnervingly odd....

The nextKingdom Heartsgame is right around the corner. This prequel,Birth by Sleep, hits the PSP in Japan in a matter of days, and there’s a new trailer to come out of the Jump Festa event to give you a better look at it.
