I believe this clip is from some Dutch sketch show or other. It showcases a product known asThe Shii, a console designed for women when the men are too busy hogging all the motion-controlled fun. While a rather basic sketch, it should amuse you on some level. Probably won’t though. For me, however, this video is interesting because I can’t help thinking that this is where games are headed. Perhaps this is a stark vision of the future, or a present we are as yet unwilling to accept....

Nintendo president Satoru Iwata said that a Wii price drop is not likely to happen anytime soon. According to some new promotional materials forWii Fit, the Wii Balance Board peripheral has a weight limit. If you’re over 300 pounds, you might want to start losing that weight elsewhere, buddy. While we didn’t expect the Balance Board to hold up to a ton, we hoped we could keep eating these Ho-Hos. Apparently, that’s not the case. Keep in mind that this only applies to the Japanese model of the board, and Nintendo would be wise to make some slight adjustments to the peripheral to accommodate us fatty mcfatterson Americans....

Talking to Eurogamer, theDynasty Warriorspublisher stated that no followup toBladestorm: The Hundred Years’ Waris in the works. Although a sequel may be possible at some point, right now it is not on the cards. Bladestormwas a unique action/strategy game that saw you take charge of various units on a battlefield and control them as one, conquering bases and beating down enemy officers along the way....

Folks who participated in theMAGbeta program this summer may already be familiar with the ‘Escalation’ on-on pack, which adds a new game mode to Zipper’s massive online first-person shooter. Sony has announced that it will finally be making it available to all players on November 2. “Escalation” adds an all new game mode, along with three new maps: Isla De Magma, Silverback Ridge, and Radian Barrens. The pack will also include three new guns per faction, including a sniper rifle, an assault rifle, and a machine gun....

Today, Sony announced that they will be taking the PlayStation 3 to Malaysia on September 20 this year. Unlike North American store shelves that are cluttered with different variations of the PS3, Malaysia will simply receive the 80GB version of the machine. As for celebration, Sony will be tossing a party at the 1Utama shopping centre in Petaling Jaya. The public is invited to the event, and the first 100 people that show up to buy PS3s will receive some cash for their troubles....
