To date, Ubisoft have tried hard to keep the mystery ofAssassin’s Creed‘s secrets under wraps. In ourdemo/chatwith Ubisoft’s Jade Raymond last month, she was tight-lipped about specifics (although she slipped up once or twice), but also mentioned that all would be revealed almost as soon as you started playing the game. So maybe it’s not the end of the world that scans of anAssassin’s Creedcomic book have wound up online, and that they reveal a bit about the game’s plot than Ubisof had wanted us to know....

2K has today released some brand new screens for its polarizing sequel,BioShock 2. Some anticipate it, some dread it, but whatever you’re stance, it’s easily among 2010’s biggest games. As well as the new screens, a full list of hot new Plasmids has been revealed, courtesy of MTV. These brand new genetic goodies sound pretty damn promising, and should provide players with even more fiendish options for taking out the enemy in unique and sadistic ways....

Nintendo has revealed that its black Wii Remote/MotionPlus and Nunchuk peripherals will hit stores on November 16, just in time for people to go absolutely batsh*t over them for the holidays. The black Wii Remote and black Wii MotionPlus will come as a package deal for $49.99, with the black Nunchuk being sold separately for $19.99. As expected, they’re just like the white ones, but they’re black. Nintendo’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing, Cammie Dunaway, thinks they’ll make great gifts this holiday....

So, we’ve got Nick talking aboutGuitar Hero IIIvs.Rock Band, as well as the announcement ofMafia 2. Personally, I don’t agree with Nick on the first portion, as I think Rock Band will do much better by the end of the first game’s life. They’ve got too much going for them, and there’s sure to be plenty of Rock Band tournaments or somesuch going on, a la thePac-Mantournament.

First Star Software have sent over some screens for their upcomingBoulder Dash Rocks!, a graphical makeover of their classic PC title. The game will be coming to the Nintendo DS this November, and the Sony PSP version will follow in the first quarter of 2008. The arcade-puzzler (developed by the smelly sounding British studio, Tuna Technologies) follows the adventures of the game’s main character, Rockford as he attempts to collect diamonds and avoid perils which face him at every perilous turn....

Hooray!Another teaser site! Just what we always wanted. At least it’s not a countdown this time, but it’s still a pretentious load of artificial hype from a major publisher. This must be a Japanese thing, since it’s usually either Nintendo, Konami, Capcom or Square Enix that do this kind of thing. Anyway, it’s Capcom’s turn today, with a new site that says “1560.” No idea what it means, and I hardly care, if I’m honest....

Certain Affinity has announcedCrimson Alliancefor Xbox 360. Why does it always have to be crimson? There are plenty of other shades of red. Crimson Allianceis a roleplaying game that aims to do away with boring RPG staples in order to create a quicker, more action-packed experience. “It takes everything we’ve learned about high action from working on shooters likeHaloandCall of Duty,” claims the studio, “and everything we love about the fantasy genre, but gets rid of all that tedious backpack rummaging, and boring dialog!...
