3DS, Wii U to support DLC

Many of us foolishly heightened our hopes when Nintendo announced the 3DS’ eShop functionality. It’s not that it’s bad, per se, it’s just not what was expected or, honestly, what it should’ve been. In a recent earnings report, however, CEO Satoru Iwata revealed plans for a continued development of the service, including, primarily, an item transaction system that should be available to developers by the end of the year. While Iwata doesn’t believe Nintedo’s first party titles will, or even should use a system like this–no DLC characters forSuper Smash Bros....

A Space Marine could beat up your favorite game hero

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marineis almost upon us, and it’s looking set to be quite good indeed. I’ve long been enthralled by Games Workshop’s expansive universe, and have thirsted for more videogames over the years. While the property’s tabletop roots make strategy games likeDawn of Wara natural choice, I really wanted a solid action experience.Warhammer 40,000: Fire Warriorwas a fun first-person shooter, but the choice of a Tau as a protagonist was odd, especially when everybody really wants to be a Space Marine....

Activision ‘in talks’ about more Transformers games

Transformers: War for Cybertronhas surprised a lot of people. He couldn’t say anything other than that, but added that Hasbro is “considering” expanding the brand further into the realm of videogames....
