If you’re looking forward toDragon Age: Origins, then we have some bad news and some good news. The bad news is that BioWare’s latest RPG spectacular has been delayed. The good news is that it’s not being pushed back to 2010 like 90% of the other games we’ve seen postponed lately. Dragon Agewas originally slated for October 20, but the Xbox 360 and the PC versions of the game will now release on November 3 in North America and November 6 in Europe....
Slipped into the PSN update yesterday was a 720p trailer forDragon’s Lair, which we now present for your entertainment. You may recognize it from arcades in the 1980’s who had yet to change the setting which mutes audio in demo mode because it’s exactly the same thing, save for an ESRB rating and Digital Leisure’s logo preceding it. So,Dragon’s Lairis coming to PS3 in 720p and will even have leaderboards so you can see how many people were actually willing to spend the time necessary to achieve a perfect run in the game....

Packed with all sorts of minigames, this $20 title has fun for the whole family packed into it. This time, with the game on the Wii, it’ll be even easier to pick up and play with your friends and family. Like Dale has said for the DS title, and it bears repeating here: a single $20 for 101 games to play....
After yesterday’sGhostbustermini-fiasco, we made it a point to go straight to the Sony booth this morning to get to the game before the rest of the crowd could. I was nervous about what was about to happen, because the Ghostbusters property is one that is precious to me. While aGhostbustersgame of this caliber looks great on paper, there are so many things that could go wrong with it once put in to practice....
After Microsoft’s incredible press conference yesterday, one could only imagine what the other press conferences had in store. Nintendo must have been in the mood to kick off strong, becausewithin ten minutes of the conference’s kickoffthey were already showing off a new Mario game on the Wii! The game features 4 player co-op and will be playable on the E3 show floor this year.We don’t have a lot more details right now, but as soon as the conference wraps we ought to have screens and more to show you....
Tony Hawk himself — the man, the myth, the legend — was on stage at Microsoft’s E3 press briefing to show off the skateboard controller forTony Hawk: Ride, and you may take a look at the scale of it above. Unlike many videogame peripherals meant to represent real things (see:Guitar Hero/Rock Bandinstruments), theRidecontroller actually seems life-sized. (There’s a full-size shot in the gallery below.) During the press conference, we saw a new trailer for the game featuring skaters like Ryan Sheckler — we’ll have that for you later — and we learned that the Xbox 360 version of the game will be on the show floor....
As the rumors leading up to E3 2011 suggested, Sony decided to side with the PlayStation Vita name for the device previously dubbed NGP. The handheld was a large focus during the company’s press conference, and for good reason. It had a solid showing, with a number of big-name Vita games discussed, and a lovely $249/$299 price point disclosed. In general, the event went rather smoothly, I thought. Next time, boys, be sure to start on time....
Therumors and the leaksabout the official name for Sony’s next portable, tentatively called the “Next Generation Portable” (or NGP), are looking more legit today. Folks have spotted wording and details buried in the HTML source code forSony’s official E3 websitethat indicate the handheld will be officially dubbed “PS Vita.” This corroborates the leaked information, which including alleged marketing materials and anonymous sources. Of course, Sony could just be completely screwing with everyone, and will totally take us off guard during next week’s press conference....
Yesterday we decided to post the franklydisgusting news segmentthat was aired on Fox, in which the gameMass Effectwas unprofessionally and underhandedly mauled by a panel of self-proclaimed experts who had zero expertise in the field of videogames. Well, one thing Fox probably didn’t know (along with everything else) was that game developer BioWare just so happens to be part of the corporate machine known and feared as Electronic Arts, and EA VP of communications Jeff Brown had a few things to say in a letter sent to the network....
EA is working on a sequel to last year’sNERF N-Strikefor the Wii. The new game is calledNERF 2: N-Strike Eliteand is set to mark the 40th anniversary of Hasbro’s NERF brand. The game will be out this Fall and will include the new NERF Switch Shot EX-3 blaster and attachable decoder lens that will help you see invisible stuff in the game. Like the last one, this gun can be used with the game or as an actual NERF gun....
EA DICE’sBattlefield: Bad Company 2appears to be shedding some of the humor that turned so many on to the original title. But don’t fret if you’re in that group. Jet planes, tanks, snow, a more advanced destruction engine, and a beefier multiplayer component seem to have taken the place of a few ridiculous Haggard one-liners. So, let’s talk multiplayer, which by the way, has all of the stuff I listed above — tanks, snow, planes, and destruction....
At the Tokyo PlayStation Premier event in Tokyo, Konami unveiled what seems to be an expansion pack for PSP’sMetal Gear Solid: Portable Ops. It’ll offer new playable characters, new multiplayer stages and game modes, and a new single-player mode called Infinity Mission. No other details seem forthcoming yet on theofficial site, nor is it clear exactly how it’ll work, but WHO CARES!! METAL GEAR!!!!!! Dig the trailer. Looks like– let’s call him “mature” Solid Snake is on board....
