Don’t you just love crossovers? It’s like fanfiction, but it doesn’t makeyour eyes bleed. And so, Nippon Ichi has announced that they’ll be bringingCross Edgeover here to the US, a title that draws from NIS, Capcom, Idea Factory, Gust, and Namco Bandai. It’s going to be some hot Morrigan on Prinny action. And yes, I mean inthatway. The title is an RPG of sorts, running you through a side-scrolling dungeon and then throwing you into J-RPG combat....
Cue Henry Mancini’s theme toPeter Gunn. Variety is reporting that Warner Bros. is looking to make a Spy Hunter film. If this sounds familiar, it’s because Midway had been in talks with Universal Pictures to make the film since 2003 (and that’s not a typo). In its many years in development hell, the flick had everyone from John Wo to Paul W.S. Anderson to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson attached. Warner now owns the rights to most of Midway’s assets, includingMortal Kombat,Joust, andSpy Hunter....
Digital Foundry is reporting that, contrary tomuch speculation, NVIDIA will not be supplying Nintendo with graphics processors for the 3DS. According to the blog’s two unnamed, unconnected sources, Big N’s next portable, “features a design totally divorced from the NVIDIA Tegra.” Current speculation is that Nintendo has chosen a Japanese partner to work with on the 3DS’ GPU. The story is corroborated byIGN, who claims to have come by the information from, “several developer sources,” which is no more or less helpful in confirming this development....
A handheld version ofThe Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Timeis something I’ve been wanting for years. When it was announced for the 3DS, I was so excited a little onion poo came out of my bum (probably) and I’m glad this smattering of new screens has arrived so I can tell you how excited I am. I know some people are annoyed that the Water Temple is fixed and I’m sure somebody will moan about the enhanced graphics, but whatever....
At E3 earlier this year, we checked outRetro Game Challenge,a Nintendo DS game based on the Japanese television showRetro Game Master. Players are thrown back into the 1980s to play games that look and sound a lot like… well, the games we played in the 1980s. With sad predictability, it would appear that another publisher has cottoned onto the “one save file” scheme experimented with inResident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D. Namco Bandai is the unsurprising felon, with word thatPac-Man & Galaga Dimensionscannot have its saved scores and unlocked content deleted. Dimensionshas no scoring table,as reported by Wired. Your high score is all that’s recorded, and it cannot be reset — which naturally puts a dampener on its value as a secondhand title....

It’s no fun getting your ass kicked inMadden. Just because you never watch football, don’t have all these different patterns ingrained in your head, and aren’t in a frat, doesn’t mean that you should be subjected to an hour of trash-talking by someone who barely plays games. Pre-order it atGameStopand get a nice pre-order bonus, too. The retailer is offering up a prettyChild of Edenposter, which I think will look totally radical next to that velvet, black light panther picture you have above your bed. I’m also noticing that the game is $10 cheaper than most 360 games at $49....
