The FMA: Brotherhood PS3 theme is pretty neat

I usually could give a damn about Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 themes, but I’ll make an exception for thisFullmetal Alchemist: BrotherhoodPSN theme which just came out. I adore the series and the theme is actually cool. The sky gets dark as time goes on and Ed and Al (adult and childform) are slightly animated. While it is a cool theme, I still probably wouldn’t waste $2.99 to buy it. But if you got the cash to burn, then why not get it?...

The Linearity Question

Seven years ago, “nonlinear” was a word that, in the video game world, meant next to nothing. Free-roaming gameplay? Branching storylines? Isn’t that what old-school adventure games did? Ten years ago, it didn’t really matter whether or not a mainstream game allowed players to manufacture their own gameplay experience: implementing nonlinear gameplay was either too risky or too difficult from a technological standpoint. But since the release ofGrand Theft Auto IIIand all of its copycats, and thanks to today’s rapidly-improving technology, the word has become more important than ever before....

The Splinter Cell Conviction Web site is live

The officialSplinter Cell ConvictionWeb siteis live. Before you travel, gulp down those hopes and dreams; it’s nothing more than a tease. A large Third Echelon badge and mysterious text is all that awaits you. If anything, we can take this asslightreassurance that Ubisoft’s stealth version ofDuke Nukem Forevercould actually makeits new holiday 2009 release window. There’s no sense in teasing if it’s still in a sorry state. Right? [viaJoystiq(via1UP)]...

The Videogame Show What I’ve Done: Kane & Lynch

Following on from yesterday’sRevisited article, the latest VSWID focuses onKane & Lynch: Dead Men. If you want a video full of badly compressed PC footage, passive-aggressive mockery ofAssassin’s Creed 2review complaints, and obscure references to long-forgotten TV shows, this episode is definitely for you. All in all, I think this episode came out pretty well. Now I can officially stop reviewing this two-year-old game as if it were just released and anybody actively gives a crap about it....

This New Xbox Experience trailer is some real awful sh*t

Ladies and gentlemen, straight from the Wii School of Cringe-worthy Commercials, we proudly present our latest feature. This is the official trailer for the New Xbox Experience, which truly cements Microsoft’s position as “that company desperate as f*ck for a ride on the Casual Gamer Gravy Train.” It’s all here — cynically contemporary music, a bunch of conventionally pretty live-action jerkoffs parading around and showing off how normal they are, and …Army of Two?...

First up isPokemon Snap(N64, 1 player, 1,000 points), the game that taught us all to try and find two Charizards going at it for those extra erotica points....

Tokyo Game Show 2006 Hostesses!

Nooooo! It ended at the best part. Just a few more seconds and a slight adjustment in the camera angle and I would end up back in Joliet so maybe it’s better this way. No story really for this video just a little game related fun. I’ve also added a few photos of TGS 06 hostesses after the jump. TGS 07 here I come, with camera in one hand and… better not finish that sentence....

UK: In-house generate five times more than indie studios

Being out there on your own is hard. We know that independently-owned…well, anything really has to work to keep up with the big boys. Well, look at this fine company I work for. In a business where everythingisbig business, with some outlets being just a sub-site of a massive network, I’m kind of proud of our little web network of just a handful of sites. We hold our own with the top guns and still manage to stay independent....
