Although the news broke last week aboutSam & Max: Season 1coming to the Wii, it looks like the first image of the game actually running on Nintendo’s point-and-click friendly console slipped through the cracks. Luckily, our very ownAdam Dorkpicked up the slack and found the above picture onTelltale’s Web site. While not much is shown, just seeing it being played on the Wii gets me even more excited than I was last week after hearing the big news....

The line between gaming and reality became slightly more blurred today, as new developerarea/codeannounced their location-based DS game,Plundr. Alreadyavailable for laptops, the pirate-themed game uses a Wi-Fi positioning system to work out the player’s real world location and then maps game locations to the surrounding area. It’s then up to the player to become their very own ultra-high definition avatar and travel around the map, trading at shops, pillaging ships, battling enemies, and making their best efforts not to become pavement pizza as a result of crossing the road with eyes glued to a screen....

LocoRoco 2is a special game. Igave it a high gradefor its brilliant design, character, and superb gameplay. If you have a PlayStation Portable and you haven’t checked it out yet, I encourage you to do so. Microsoft has said thatGames For Windows Livewill stop being a massive amount of Pol Pot’s spunk. Well … it was a bit more diplomatic than that, promising instead that after a “rocky start,” the PC gaming service will get better. “The service started with the right intent, which was to bring Achievements, friends, multiplayer gaming and matchmaking in a really great way to PC,” said senior producer Kevin Unangst. “I think because it was designed originally as a partner to the console service more to the PC service, we had a rocky start....

It seems that not even Superman can save ailing publisher Midway, as an SEC filinghas revealedthat unless theMortal Kombatcreator can pony up $150 million within fifty days, it faces bankruptcy. At last count on October 31, Midway had a $10.3 million cash total. It is currently looking for “strategic and financial alternatives” to its money woes. Unless it can find one of these alternatives to liquidation, it’s a potential fatality for the troubled company....

This week shouldn’t be too hard, but don’t expect it to be easy either. I wasn’t too sure how to label the difficulty on some of the teasers, so I’m not sure what to expect this week either....
