She has a very small (non spoilery) role inDeus Ex: Human Revolutionand she’s … well … let’s just say that her characterization has a little something of thefiftiesabout it. It really is a fantastic game, but I’m not sure how Eidos Montreal expected this little thing to go unnoticed.
Doomhas always been one of my all-time favorite games, and a large part of that is thanks to the distinct art style. Imagine my surprise, then, when I stumbled across the latest series on Caleb Hystad’s8×8 Pixel blog. He’s managed to make some ofDoom‘s more recognizable sprites, well, cute. Those demons may want to tear your face off, but you can’t stay mad at them when they whip out the puppy-dog eyes....
I have all of those Sega collections. Have ’em and love ’em. There’s some serious overlap in my game library, but I’m a sucker for a cheap disc that contains all of the old games I used to l enjoy so much. But I think I’m finally reaching a point where I know I need to stop buying the same Genesis games over and over again. Sega needs to move on to some newer classics....
Recession? Hardly! While people try and make thriftiness a fashion statement (because you can’t do anything in the West without it being “trendy”), it seems that people always have money to spare for Nintendo, throwing away their DS Lites in droves to make the DSione of the most successful machinesin town. In the UK, the DSi has become the fourth best-selling console of all time, outselling all other currently available systems combined and shifting 92,000 systems in just two days....

Yes, EA just announced the newNeed for Speed: The Runat their E3 press conference. And, yes, the racing game looks incredible, featuring many of the same features asHot Pursuitbefore it (like the wonderful AutoLog). But in a first for the series,Need for Speed: The Runfeatures segments that find the player getting out of the car and running aroundon foot. In the trailer shown at the press conference, the driver is shown getting chased across a building after crashing his car....
I was a little disappointed when I heard thatthe newEarthworm Jimwould be a mere remake, but the folks at Gameloft havespilled a few beansand made the premise sound just a little bit more tempting. First of all is the news that this enhanced version of the game is being reworked from scratch, improved and bolstered with extra features. Obviously, the graphics are getting souped up, looking and moving better than the Genesis game upon which it is based....
With theannouncementof the Xbox 360 Elite, rumors of a special incentive-laden trade-in plan for the owners of older 360 models sprung up almost immediately. Of course, Microsoft and the EB/Gamestop conglomerate denied any such rumors, leading people to cease speculation as toifit would happen, and to instead wonderwhenit would happen. As the old adage states:Nothing says yes like saying no. Apparentlyit just happened! EB/Gamestop is now offering $250 for Xbox 360 Premium systems (up from $190 last week), as well as $200 for the Core system and $50 for an original Xbox....
