I guess 2K Sports just remembered that theirNBA 2Kfranchise isn’t the only one that’s celebrating its tenth anniversary, because they sent us some updated box art forNHL 2K10. As you’re able to see in the gallery, the cover now features a gold “1999-2009 Tenth Anniversary” banner, just like theAnniversary Edition ofNBA 2K10. The shot of atoothless Alexander Ovechkinremains intact, though. We’ve also got the first screenshots ofNHL 2K10— there are eleven of the PS3/360 version and six of the Wii version....

I like this list, but the hard thing here is that 2007 brought a lot of great games, and I’m sure people will feel a lot of characters were left out. While Andrew Ryan was a huge one for me and definitely belonged on the list, where’s my favorite madman of the year, Sander Cohen? I suppose two from the same game is a list no-no, but every time I think about finding that recording of Cohen’s bunny “performance,” I still get the chills....

Here’s some newsthat should make Apple fanboys happy: Gameloft says that it will be scaling back its investment in games for the Android platform, and that other development companies are doing so as well. The French game developer, who makes most its money off of mobile games, says that many other companies are following suit thanks to Google’s lack of promotion of the games on their platform and the service not being as well put together as the iPhone’s....

Sony and Naughty Dog finally gave us a taste ofUncharted 3‘s multiplayer last week at a preview event. We got plenty of hands-on time with a couple of new stages and modes, with many of the game’s customizations and tweaks open to us. From what we saw, it’s safe to say that anyone who enjoyedUncharted 2‘s multiplayer will feel right at home here. Naughty Dog has gone nuts with improving their unique brand of action-adventure multiplayer inUncharted 3....

PAYDAY: The Heistbeen billed as a cross between a bank-robbing simulator andLeft 4 Dead, and that’s the kind of sales pitch Destructoid editors getdampover. A number of us are pretty excited about this game, coming soon to PlayStation Network, and I’m certainly among them. Here’s a bunch of new screens for the co-operative criminal adventure. It’s certainly not the most graphically accomplished title, but this is a game about the concept and experience, not so much the pretty visuals....

Like theDragon Agefan trailerI just posted, someone is working on aSilent Hillfan movie and this scene from the movie is creepy as f***. User kiukle says that the movie will be out later this year and you can follow himon Twitterfor updates to the film. Director Leo Kei Angelos is working on theDragon Agemovie and is the same person working on thisSilent Hillfilm too. If both turn out as good as these trailers look, then Leo needs to head to Hollywood and teachcertain directorsa thing or two about making videogame films....
