For those of you who have mobile phones that aren’t iPhones, this one’s for you! Capcom has releasedMega Man: Rush Marine, an original Mega Man adventure for mobile devices, today. The side-scrolling title has Mega Man and Rush trying to stop Dr. Wily and his evil robots from doing some nasty stuff underwater. Capcom is touting a whopping 14 enemies (!) through ten levels, including shallow water, deep water, and the volcanic reef....

Microsoft is feeling generous lately. According to aBillboard report, the future of Warner Music Group artists appearing inRock Bandis in jeopardy. The report indicates that MTV and the home of some of the world’s biggest artists simply can’t come to agreement about, you guessed it, money. Last summer, Warner Music Group chairman publicly stated that he didn’t feel labels (his in particular) were making enough dough off of these here newfangled music games. Billboard reports that while MTV and WMG have trade offers, they’ve yet to reach a compromise....

Uber Entertainment has announced that the rather greatMonday Night Combatis getting a massive title update, full of tweaks, fixes and class balancing. The Support, Assault, Tank and Assassin classes are all receiving some changes, so pay special attention if you play as those guys. Quite a few control, effect and message glitches have been fixed, and the game’s overall connectivity is getting a mass of improvements, as well. Sounds like a very robust patch that the game most definitely needed to go from great to superb....

It seems that the bat-a-rang I spotted inthe latestNo More Heroes 2videowas just the start of the split-second weird moments. For starters, if you pause the video about one second before the bat-a-rang shows up, you’re able to get a semi-clear look at the guy that probably threw it. It’s a little bald man in a green suit riding in a floating car-type thing with a huge chainsaw sticking out of the front!...

I feel bad for PR firms that work for game publishers. They can spend years planning the perfect launch announcement for an upcoming game, only to have the ESRB unceremoniously list it on their web page with absolutely no pageantry to be found. I guess telling the world that a game will contain “animated blood and fantasy violence” is more important than properly hyping said game to modern society. Damn you, society....

The video above is a three-and-a-half-minute developer diary in which they explain whyBackbreakeris unique — not just among football videogames, but all sports games. The studio’s Euphoria engine (which you saw in games likeGrand Theft Auto IVandStar Wars: The Force Unleashed) is responsible forBackbreaker‘s realistic football action. Another key idea in the game’s design was to create a pick-up-and-play experience....

The eBay seller of this wooden NES setup calls it a sculpture. I’d say it was more like some strange kind of interpretative art as both the A and B buttons and the Select and Start buttons on the controller are switched. The whole shebang dodges the Fail stamp because they did a nice job overall. “Craftsmanship is so precise it appears to be a functional Nintendo at first glance,”the seller says....
