Today has been all aboutDead Rising 2. It was finally shown off in all of its glory and I feel like it’s my game of the show for Tokyo Game Show. All the new weapons and the multiplayer mode just look awesome. Also, you’re able to put blenders onto the head of a zombie and blend their head. If that’s not awesome then I don’t know what is. More booth babes, more previews, more merch, more news and more media came your way from the land of the rising sun....

Among Microsoft’s31 Xbox 360 game dumpall over Japan, the most curious of the curious Xbox LIVE Arcade titles was revealed — SNK‘s The King of Fighters Sky Stage. Yes, this is an overhead shoot ’em up featuring flying characters from theKing of the Fightersuniverse. The 2D shooter will support two-player cooperative, and character-specific area attacks like Kyo Kusanagi’s flame burst. It looks like AthenaAsamiya is also playable; no word if there will be a larger roster, but given the breadth of the series, it’s not out of the question....

Publishers have made no secret of their PS3 concerns, often bringing up that most-touchy subject of price. Activision’s Robert Kotick previously stated that he wanted to see both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 hit a $199 price mark in two years’ time, but Sony’s Jack Tretton has answered this in a most thorough manner. Those who update their PlayStation Portable to the newest firmware are in for a surprise. Wait, wait — I might be overselling this. The update adds two new game folders to the handheld: “NEOGEO” and “PCEngine” (aka TurboGrafx 16). So, really, the surprise is (hopefully) the promise of more retro titles for PSP, which we could always use more of. Or, it’s a cruel mistake. I’m going with the former, because A) Neo Geo and TruboGrafx 16 games are on the Japanese PlayStation Network and B) the ESRB has listed some of these ports for the US....

This little nugget of information was revealed by the game’s director, Amy Hennig, ina commenton the official PlayStation blogs. Game music concert Video Games Live has just announced the addition ofHalo: Reachto their already awesome line-up of game soundtracks that they cover. Marty O’Donnell and Michael Salvatori’s latest Halo score will debut at the Seattle show on January 22.
