This week’s Podtoid has been a technological disaster. The first episode we recorded simply didn’t record. As for this one … well, it’s 1:15am as this is being typed and I would like to just die. That attitude is carried over nicely into the show. Tara couldn’t make it to our re-recording, and Jonathan was late, so most of the episode is Max and I muttering nonsense, talking about Aliens toys, and answering listener questions....

Last week, I had the opportunity to visit Sony Online Entertainment’s studios in Austin and see the work they’ve been doing onDC Universe Online. The German-based ratings board USK can’t tell a lie, although, we’re guessing worldwide publishers wouldn’t mind if their secret games stayed secret until they announced them. Beatnik Games’Plain Sightis a title I’ve been interested in for years. It’s been a long time since I first glimpsed the suicidal robot deathmatch title, but after such a lengthy wait, the game has finally released on Steam today for $9.99.
