Cthulhu Saves the Worldis just about the greatest thing that could happen to me. So how was everyones Halloween this year? Mine was pretty awesome. EA totally failed to plan a party but the night was salvaged and drunkeness was had. I dressed up as Ninjtendo again this year and yeah, I’m still trying to figure out what to do with him. Niero was of course Mr. Destructoid but he wasn’t the only one this year!Matt T, Tehuberone, Indigoinc and even Nick Chester’s son all dressed up as the magnificant robot as well....
About a zillion years ago, I had the opportunity to sit down with Martin Filipp, Developer at Deep Silver, and discuss with him the company’s upcoming survival-horror title:CursedMountain. Deep Silver, if you weren’t aware, is relatively newer development house staffed by ex-members of Rockstar Vienna and they’ve been hard at work creating what could become a trend of titles that are aimed for the more mature Wii owners. At least I hope so....
Fusing demons together is something that is unique to the Shin Megami Tensei games from Atlus. Those that have been around the RPG block a few times see the words ‘demon fusion’ and think about how they could get rid of those lesser, more common demons to make something cooler, and with better abilities. Everyone else would think it sounds like crazy talk. Everyone else thinks we’re all devil worshipers that drink goats blood and gnaw on crow’s feet....
Is it possible that something can be too cute? In the case of apuppy, the answer is obviously no. But regarding this new trailer forDewy’s Adventure,the conclusion is not so obvious. While most videogame companies were quick to get the word out on which games they would be showcasing this year at E3, Konami decided that being fashionably late was the way to go. So, without further adieu, I present to you the official Konami E3 08 game lineup: Glancing over the list, I’d say the only games that I’m going to be paying close attention to areCastlevania: Order of Ecclesiaand possiblySilent Hill: Homecoming, although I’ve heard some less-than-stellar things about that one....
I shouldn’t laugh at Engrish because it’s a frightfully vile thing to do, but if Yoichi Wada had said “Last Wemnant” just one more time, I think I’d have exploded with an overload of sheer joy. Anyway, the Xbox 360 is becoming the home of JRPGs for this generation, especially following the announcement of that one obscure game which Ican’t quite remember. Demon Lord Ghirahim, a character who is rumored to be the primary villain ofLegend of Zelda: Skyward Swordhas just been revealed, and he’s pretty amazing. The androgynous, antagonizing, blatantly hard gay badass is a unique entity in theZeldauniverse, and regardless of what you think of him so far, I think that’s something worth celebrating. From the get go, you can’t tell if he’s going to kick Link’s ass, or start making out with him....
