It’s been like two weeks since it came out, so this may be a moot point by now. But just in case it isn’t, you should probably know thatScarface: The World is Yoursis actually pretty damn fun.It’s got the best aiming system of any GTA-genre game, the guy who does Tony Montana’s voice is really good, and the game actually measures points by calling it a “balls meter”.If you ever playedVice Cityand you remember the portion of the game where Tommy had to buy a bunch of businesses and use the profits to buy other businesses, thenScarfacewill be familiar to you....

We’re still a long way off from seeing somereal footage ofHalo 4, so how about some audio and concept art in the meantime? HaloWaypoint released some art and audio sample in a new trailer that debuted during HaloFest weekend. There’s also some additional audio stuff of 343 folks doing some live testing.

Looks like someone at the House of Nintendo was feeling like sequels this week. The Adventures of Lolo 2(NES, 1 player, 500 Wii points) is the sequel to the original Lolo, a cutesy puzzle title for NES. When I think about my reaction toLolo, I think it’s a reaction about 98% based on the fact that I don retrogoggles for most all my NES memories, so I can’t tell you much about whether this game will be worth your Wii points or not....

I’ll never turn down an excuse to bring upTrials HD, no matter how unnatural or forced it may feel. There’s something simultaneously horrible and awesome about that game — it’s vaguely reminiscent of the self-inflicting pain you’d have to suffer through before you “got” any of the earlyMega Mangames. Thankfully, this seemingly random video RedLynx tossed our way is pretty cool, and more importantly, it’s past your bedtime, which is when we aren’t afraid to dig deeper and post the day’s weirder stories....

In fact, from what we can garner, finding wireless hot spots is the entire point of the game. In a new developer diary video, Creative Director Scott Cromie talks about the changes they made to makeTwo Worlds IIa better game than the first one. From what I’ve heard, the sidequests have silly humor, the spell crafting system is pretty ridiculous, and you can walk around like a Gandalf who actually casts spells that do direct damage. Imagine that! I would’ve picked up the (mainland) European version, which was released late last year, untilFallout: New Vegasutterly crushed my interest in playing yet another 50+ hour RPG....

In their financials update release today, Ubisoft teased with a few interesting updates to some of their franchises. The one I’m most looking forward to?Driver.Driverwas my jam. Was. It has been run down in subsequent releases, though. I’d like to see a revival. I was glad to see that the original was revived foran iPhone gamerecently, but I’m really wanting an all-new game. I’d bet we see it in action at E3....

Activision has today announced yet another store exclusive preorder bonus forTransformers: War for Cybertron,officially bumping the number of exclusive offers up to four. GameStop has Shockwave, Amazon has Demolisher and Best Buy has Jazz. Now K-Mart has jumped in on the shenanigans, not with an exclusive character, but a special comic book. The comic book is a prequel to the game, which is itself a prequel to the TV show, making the comic a prequel to a prequel to a TV show based around toys that are appropriated from other toys....

This week I was in San Francisco to check outTransformers: War for Cybertron. I’ll have a feature based on my experiences coming later today, but for now I want to share with you a quick look at the first batch ofWar for Cybertrontoys that are coming out, including a first look at Soundwave. This is certainly the first time I’ve seen Soundwave and he looks awesome. Bumblebee and Megatron were also in attendance, along with the prequel novelTransformers: Exoduswhich charts how Optimus Prime and Megatron first met....

Will Xbox LIVE Indie Games be allowed to support Kinect? While the thought hadn’t even crossed my mind yet, Digital Spy was thankfully able to get the ball rolling. Here’s what they got back from a Microsoft rep: “Like full retail Xbox 360 games and Xbox LIVE Arcade games, Kinect games will be created by a select group of publishers that Microsoft has partnered with for the launch.” In the traditional mega corporation way, the possibility — no matter how slight — that things could change for the better wasn’t ruled out....
