Nintendo released the DSi just this year, but there arealready rumorsthat a brand new system is in the works, and this could be a very big one. Gossip has surfaced concerning a new generation of DS. The “DS2” would be a complete overhaul with the system getting some serious power courtesy of the Zune HD processor. Nvidia has allegedly won a contract to provide Nintendo’s DS2 with Tegra chips, replacing the current DS’ pair of sluggish processors with something considerably meatier....

This week,Hitman 5artworkpopped up online, raising the eyebrows of excited fans. IO Interactive took the wind out of their sails, saying that the artwork (pictured above) “does not represent any newHitmangame.” Now, according toEurogamer’s sources, word has come that a newHitmangame is indeed int he works. Thing is, we don’t be seeing it until holiday of 2011 at the earliest.Play.combacks up the sources information, listing the unannounced title for a June 23, 2025 release date....

Now that we’ve driled that into all our heads, let’s see whatRumor Reporterhas for us this week: The rumor comes from fellow reader Fei34 who claims that a fellow DigiPen employee told him that Sega Saturn games would indeed be making an appearance on the Wii. Although this could still be wells away from becoming true, the fact that DigiPen, a highly respected video-game school in Redmond Washington, has this sort of knowledge is pretty intriguing....

According to the Wall Street Journal, Sony is close to finalizing a deal that would buy Ericsson out of its half of the Sony Ericsson partnership and award the PlayStation platform holder full control. The news comes from a group of people “familiar” on the matter. With total control, it’s said Sony will be able to intergrate smartphones with its other hardware dabblings, synchronizing development with tablets, computers and game consoles....

If the screen grabs are real, they obviously prove there is a newCastlevaniagame on the Nintendo DS in he works. But could they be fake? MyBelmontsenses tell me maybe, but why, then, did the original thread disappear? Man, where isAngela Lansburywhen you need her? What do you think? Real? Fake?...

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Videogames are way too serious. Don’t get me wrong. Serious games can be fun. What I’m mostly agitated by is the state of gaming where not a lot of crazy outrageous games are being produced. RememberConker’s Bad Fur Day?Armed and Dangerous? They were stupid, but in the “this is so stupid that it’s fun” kind of way. While there are at least a few games that fall under the “stupid fun” category (as I like to refer to it) coming out this year, the one that easily stands above the rest isSaints Row: The Third....

While the age-old question of “Who would win a fight: Batman or aLeft 4 DeadTank?” may never get answered, at least we can see what that might look like. Thanks to three months of hard work fromNerdfellowship.com’sRob Heath, one of a fewLeft 4 DeadTanks roamed the floors of San Diego Comic-Con. The 35-pound monster costume was made from a combination of foam, fleece, and latex, with built-in forearm crutches to nail this creature’s gorilla-like size....

The San Diego Comic Con is going to be act as the first place forDarksidersfans to pick up this utterly ludicrous statue. If you don’t know what you’re looking at, that’s War atop his flaming steed Ruin, complete with LEDs to make everything light up like a champion. The statue retails for $249.99, and if THQ would like to send me a “review copy”, I will quite happily review it. You have no idea how big a bonk-on I’m getting over this statue....

EA has asked traditional composers to rework songs by popular bands, including Rise Against, Hollywood Undead, Stone Temple Pilots, 30 Seconds to Mars, Jimmy Eat World and more. Haven’t been convinced to purchase Raven’s Gravity Gun-flavored FPSSingularity? Allow Amazon to try and tempt you with a posh comic. The game will already be coming with a free copy ofPrototype,but Activision has revealed that a graphic novel will also be offered as well. For the Xbox 360 version, at least (thanks HPV!).
