Who’s that Pokemon?! It’sUkulele Pichu, b*tches! He (or she) will be your partner as you playPokemon Ranger: Guardian Signs, a new action adventure game for the DS. The regular one, in case you were wondering. As a Pokemon Ranger assigned to the Oblivia region, you’ll be defending the area’s wildlife from the “Pokemon Pinchers”, a bunch of jerks out to pinch rare and valuable Pokemon. You can use the “Capture Styler” (read: the stylus) to capture wild Pokemon to help you perform your duties, and can draw “Ranger Signs” on the screen to nuke your enemies using various legendary Pokemon like Raikou, Entei and Suicune....

Microsoft was kind enough to let Destructoid crack open the brand new, totally redesigned Xbox 360.We already described to you in detailwhat was inside the box, but we thought some video may give you a better idea of what to expect when you finally ditch (trade in?) your current system. Insomniac has revealed that its first multiplatform title is a cooperative sci-fi adventure calledOverstrike. Published by Electronic Arts,Overstrikewill let four-players step into the role of one of the elite agents of the Overstrike 9. Their goal? Stop a global terrorist group from wiping out mankind. Insomniac will be bringing its skill for creating unique weaponry to the table, with “an arsenal of fringe-tech gadgets.” We hope to hear more details aboutOverstrike, which is in development for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, later this week....

Asking Electronic Arts if they’d like to charge for extra gameplay additions is perhaps a bit like asking a member of The Rolling Stones whether they’d like to f*ck a barely legal crackhead. Regardless, EA hasanswered that questionin the affirmative as CEO John Riccitiello has confirmed that he’d simplyloveto sell us extra parts forSpore. Did anybody expect he’d besadabout such an idea? “I would love to imagine that two years from now or a year from now the debate is whether or not we need a ‘Spore‘ label inside of EA,” stated the EA Warlord....

Making over $2,000 on eBay selling videogame related items sounds like a lot, but I can’t help feel like the stuff in this auction was worth so much more. This collection from eBayer mariana9430 contains just about everything with theZeldaname on it, including the Famicom Disk game, the gold Zelda DS, and the gold Triforce GameBoy Advance SP. Looking over the list (after the jump), I’d bet Shiggy-kun himself doesn’t even have half of this stuff!...

A new batch of creepy, sickening screenshots forF.E.A.R 3have been unleashed, revealing the “Store Level”. Looks like there’s a discount onpain, and all limbs have beenslashed! What I just said was excellent. I’ve long had a respect for theF.E.A.R 3series, and I’m looking forward to seeing what this third installment brings. I’m a little worried that the focus on co-op will reduce the chance for scares, but then, looking at these screens, it may a rather unfounded concern....

F.E.A.R. 3was announced yesterday, so today we received a new trailer from Warner Bros. that gives a hint of what’s to come. As you might expect, it’s a lot of Alma giving birth followed by that stupid, stupid logo they’ve designed for the title. The trailer is also almost all live-action sequences. There are some very brief flashes of gameplay footage in the closing moments but this one seems to be all about the trauma of pushing a demon child out of the womb....

When confronted with the prospect ofUbisoft’s horrific DRM system, which requires PC playersto never ever be offline ever, a distressing amount of people shrugged and went “Eh, I have good internet anyway.” Well, it seems that Ubisoft itself didn’t have very good internet – not in Europe, at least – as its authentication servers went down at around 8AM GMT, kicking some players off theirAssassin’s Creed 2sessions and subjecting others trying to come online to lengthy log-in waits or frequent timeouts....

The latest developer diary forFallout: New Vegascovers something that will be part of much of the story and choices in the game: Factions. The devs talk about the state of war between the three major Factions: the visually Andrew Ryan-esque Mr. House, Caesar’s Legion and the New California Republic or NCR. You may recognize the NCR from those PAX Prime and pre-order shirts! Other topics include the way smaller subfactions play a role, how the player can shift allegiances of groups for whatever reason your player would have....

For those of us who have andloveCrackdown, we’ve been anticipating some fresh content that was always promised to eventually come down the line. Well, for the first time, we can now get a look at just what Real Time Worlds has in store from us. Through theCrackdownforums, this was revealed: Hello All – Hopefully the PR snipers won’t take me down or this image, but here’s a quick look at a piece of content coming to you “soon”....

The moredetailssurface aboutAmy(or is itAMY?), the more intriguing it becomes. This video sadly only covers some of the technology and graphical features that are being used inAmy, although Paul Cuisset promises us that we’ll get more gameplay details next time. And really, who can argue with GOD RAYS? There’s no mention of Xbox Live Arcade or PC on the game’stemporary websiteby the way, so I wouldn’t hold my breath waiting for those versions unless it becomes a runaway success....

thatgamecompany’s latest endeavor is a weird little game calledJourneythat, likeFlower, intends to bring something a little different to the PS3. The first trailer has been revealed, so check it out! As you can expect from thatgamecompany, it all looks rather strange and pretty, with absolutely no indication as to what the gameplay is like. I happened to loveFlower, however, so I’m fairly certain this is going to be another good game from a studio that manages tojust about get awaywith being artsy fartsy....
