This summer Atlus and Sunsoft are coming together to release a new 3DS title for North America.Mahjong Cub3Dis…well, Mahjong in 3D. The 3DS makes 200 puzzles pop out of the screen, and a variant of classic mahjong has you matching tiles on a 3D cube. I guess the name says it all. There’s three game modes, with a 2-player versus mode included. For versus download play is supported.The new teaser page for the gamesays that you can spin 3D maps around to match tiles from all sides using the L and R buttons in Cube mode....

The Federal Court of Australia busted distributor RSJ IT Solutions (fancy name) for selling the R4 mod chip. Now the company has to pay Nintendo $520,000 in damages and an additional $100,000 in penalties. Also, naturally, they were ordered to stop selling the R4 mod chip device. Wow. Australia has to be the most dangerous place ever to pirate videogames. Just last week we told you about another person in Australia that was ordered by the same court to pay Nintendo $1....

Rejoice, PlayStation 3 owners. 2K Games has announced thatBioShockPS3 is finally gold and will be shipping to retailers on October 21st in North America and October 17th worldwide. In addition to shipping the game, 2K are also laying down aPSN demo on October 2for the three people who have yet to playBioShock. As announced previously, this version ofBioShockis coming with a few exclusives. The confirmed stuff is the new Survivor difficulty mode and Trophy support....

Aftereveryoneandtheir dogreported on the news that Electronic Arts purchased BioWare and Pandemic earlier today, GameDaily.biz apparently went directly to the source to see what the development houses had tosay for themselves. When I first set eyes on Capcom’s Xbox LIVE Arcade/PlayStation Network/PC titlePlunder, I will admit that I was a bit intimidated. Capybara Games, the creative minds who brought us the lovable but grossCritter Crunch, are going back to iPhone development for their next project. It’s a collaboration between them,Superbrothers, andJim Guthrieof some sort. I’m sticking with the vague descriptors here for a reason — it’s not entirely clear whatSword & Sworcery EPis, exactly. Have you guys ever watched Bytejacker? Shame on you if you haven’t, as you should at least have tuned in to see our very own Jonathan Holmes and Tara Longa few weeks ago. It’s an indie-focused gaming show on Revision 3 and they’re getting their own indie game based on the program. Bitejacker: Secret Base Horror Series 01was designed in collaboration with developer Secret Base. It features Bytejacker star Anthony Carboni and his camera man Jon Rivera who are trapped in an zombie apocalypse with more than a few nods to the independent game scene....

Louis Leterrier, director of theClash of the Titansremake andTransporter 2, is into videogames. What he’s not into, however, is Namco Bandai’sgame adaptationof his film. He told MTV Multiplayer that while he’d “love to be involved” with the project, the people making the tie-in are “just far, far away from” him. “If I work on a game, I want to work on agamegame. It’s kinda hard to work on a movie and on your game at the same time,” admits Leterrier....

The first batch ofDuke Nukem Foreverreviewsare in and things aren’t looking so good for the one-liner-spouting action hero. Over 10 years in the making, the first-person shooter finally hits shelves in North America today. According to EEDAR analyst Jesse Divnich, this is one of the rare cases where he feels that poor reviews won’t have any affect on how it does at retail. “I don’t think the critic reception ofDuke Nukemeven matters and will unlikely impact sales,” he says, adding “There are very few times I’d suggest ignoring critic reviews, andDuke Nukemis one of them....
