The makers ofTrials HDare bringing their brand of physics-based racing over to WiiWare later this year withMotoHeroz. While you are racing around in different cars through the 75-plus levels,MotoHerozfeels more like a platforming experience. Whichever way you cut it, the goal of the game is to get to the end of the level as fast as possible, using physics and items all along the way. The levels are typically multi-layered courses all with some sort of obstacle that you’ll need to get through and you may see exactly what I’m talking about in the trailer above....

The Last Remnantis hot. In my mind, it’s the next big Square Enix console release. Here recently, their other titles haven’t made any kind of serious impact. Butfrom what I’ve playedof this one, I think it’s going to be a solid title. The simultaneous U.S./Japan release date of November 20th is right around the corner. Hope you all signed up for the closed beta ofGotham City Impostors! It’s starting Wednesday, October 5 and will be playable during evenings until October 9. Though I suppose if you’re in, you would have gotten an email by now, so go check your inbox. Reactions to the game have been surprisingly positive given the beloved setting and Monolith’s unexpected — if rather fitting for multiplayer — premise. There’s a lock on what testers will be able to say publicly about the game, which tells me this is more of an actual beta than a marketing tool....

Not a group to rest on theirFruit Ninjalaurels, Brisbane-based studio Halfbrick is launching a series of developer diaries leading up to their next game,Machine Gun Jetpack. The game is set to release for iOS and sees the return of the hilariously-named Barry Steakfries, the hero of Halfbrick’s previous titles:Age Of ZombiesandMonster Dash. As you can see in the first of the developer diaries,Machine Gun Jetpackis a madcap and explosive action game that apparently serves as a prequel toMonster Dash....

Nyko had a little event in San Francisco with Capcom last week where they showed members of the press their new Wing Controller, along with a selection of Capcom’s Virtual Console titles. I played with the controller for a good half-hour as I playedGhosts ‘N Goblins,Super Street Fighter IIandMega Man 9. A little side note here: I forgot how impossibly hardGhosts ‘N Goblinswas,Chad Concelmo is a masochistfor likingMega Man 9’sdifficulty, and I’m still awesome atSuper Street Fighter IIeven though it’s been years since I’ve last played it....
