Aaaaaaaaaaaand welcome, to another hastily written post. The reason for my lack of time, this time, is the fact that last weekend was PAX. Not one to be outdone by silly things like work or poverty, I decided that there was no way Dyson was going to miss this event. So last Friday at midnight, after going through several cocktails and four hundred dollars, I had found myself in possession of a plane ticket to Seattle and a good buzz....

Nintendo has been sending out free soundtracks forThe Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3Dto anybody who registers the game. My own copy arrived yesterday and I felt it would be a good idea to give the thing a full review. The above video tells you all you need to know about this cool little gift.

Rumors of a Wii HD have been floating around since the dawn of time, butGame Informerhas boldly stated that various sources are now corroborating the development of some sort of HD Nintendo system with a 2012 launch date in mind. According to the rumor, the new system will have visuals that directly compete against the Xbox 360 and PS3, though they may or may not fall short of the PS3’s benchmark....

They say that loose lips sink ships, and although there’s no chaos associated with this rumor, I’m sure someone somewhere is catching hell for it. It seems an unnamed Sony rep at Paris GDC let word slip that upcoming PS3 titleGod of War IIIwill make its debut next month at E3 in Los Angeles. I’ll wager alcohol was present when such secrets were uttered. Per some research fromCVG, several French sites speculate that it will not be playable, but that’s not a surprise since the game is not expected to come out until late 2009....

I only have one hand to type this out with and it’s really slowing me down. No, it isn’t because I’ve been drooling over Haggar’smoustache. Community member Qalamari sent me one of those kickassFallout 3hand puppets from PAX and I can’t bear to take it off. He has another one too, and is runninga contestover in our cblogs to give it away. While my productivity today has been fettered, the same can’t be said for the rest of Destructoid....

Harmonix and MTV Games have revealed at Comic-Con today that the classic track will be included inDance Central, a launch title for Microsoft’s Kinect device for Xbox 360....

Two newSSXvideos have come out of SDCC, but I think someone forgot to tell EA that you don’t actually have to make a comic to be allowed into the Con. Ah well, the newSSXlooks like it will be a great fun, and these animated comics provide a bit more back story for two of the characters. Did anyone else notice that Mac Fraser seems to have a thing for amputees? Two of those women had arms ending at the elbow....

Somebody is getting fired somewhere because Sony of America has made a major mistake and all copies ofShaun White Skateboardingon the PS3 are being recalled. The recall wasoriginally discoveredwhen a Target memo was leaked, but since then SOA has released an official statement on the issue. “There was a manufacturing issue with a misprinted disc at Sony Computer Entertainment America and the wrong version of theShaun White SkateboardingPlayStation 3 game was shipped to retailers....

The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragonwill mark the 10th anniversary for theSpyro the Dragonseries. Hard to believe it has been ten years already. I still remember when the game first came out for the PlayStation 1. Everyone thought it was just anotherMariowannabe, but as it turned out, it was a fantastic game. Here we are now, after ten years and over a dozen games in the series. You’d think by now it would get really stale, but as it turns out, this may become one of the bestSpyroin the series to date....

A game as crazy as this should have a rocking soundtrack and that’s just what we’re going to get. THQ and the WWE are hopping on the pre-order bandwagon, having just announced a bunch of pre-order incentives for the upcomingWWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2011. Head over to Best Buy and pre-order the title, you’ll unlock wrestling legend Bret Hart as a playable character. Toy R Us customers will get the “Ministry of Darkness” entrance gear for Undertaker. Order from Amazon.com and you’ll get three outfits — a t-shirt, a suit, and a referee uniform) for Randy Orton....

Lara Croft and the Guardian of Lightis an isometric arcade platformer. How about that? Didn’t see that one coming, did you?Tomb Raidermay be responsible for helping to craft the third-person action/adventure, but it seems that she’s given up trying to be relevant to the genre, and has taken a dramatic turn for the retro. The arcade atmosphere is crucial toGuardian of Light, with replay value and high scores being the primary focus....

The PlayStation Blog has updated to let us know that there’s a new firmware revision for the PlayStation 3. When next you boot, you’ll get the opportunity to enjoy all the features of version 3.42 following a lengthy download, installation and reset. And they’re “security” features, at that! Which is to say, Sony will let you continue to play multiplayer games on PlayStation Network and you’ll allow them to close an exploit used by some recent troublemakers and neither of you will ever speak of it again....
