Ravenous Games had never heard of Destructoid until we mentioned them in the rather nastyBlocks Comethrip-off affair, where a nefarious game thief lifted a character from their upcoming game,League of Evil. Now that they know about us, they shared this trailer, and also informed us that the cool little title will be available for your iPhone on February 3. It’s a neat looking game with a lot of retro flavor to it, and boasts over 50 levels of what looks set to be some rather challenging platforming....

It goes without saying, we’re all excited about Sonic’s return-to-form in the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 4. For all of you folks who’ve put your head between your legs and chanted “Sega please don’t screw this up” over and over again, never fear — it definitely looks like an old-school Sonic game. The confirmation comes by way of “leaked” footageposted by 1UP, taken from the Xbox 360 version of the title....

When you watch this brand new trailer forMega Man 10, which is coming soon to all downloadable platforms, watch out for the pixely silhouettes that come flying at you in between stage changes. Not only do you get to see the varied stages of the next retro-ized game in theMega Manseries, but you also get a hint at what the robot masters are going to be. Aside from the backdrops (ooh, a stadium stage), there are a few other things to point out....

Every once and a while, people take a crack atMega Man 9andMega Man 10by saying they look like “fan-made projects”. Thing is, that’s not the most effective insult. Technically speaking,Cave Storyis a “fan-made project”, but it’s still pretty damn awesome. So is this NES/Famicom-style recreation ofMega Man 8, which you can download (at your own risk)right here. I haven’t finished it yet, but after sampling a few levels, I can say I’m enjoying it more than the game it’s based on....

I think if you aren’t excited forBatman: Arkham Asylum, you have to be either completely hateful of all things Batman, in a catatonic state, or dead. The trailer after the jump that shows off the FreeFlow combat system is just really interesting to me, because I already knew I’d have fun beating the life out of people as Batman, but it looks to me as if Rocksteady is putting more love and detail into it, which could make for a very enticing final product....

WhenPunch-Out!!for the Wii wasfirst announced last October, I have to be honest: I was a little nervous. The game looked great, but something about it felt a little rushed and, I don’t know,empty. Then rumors started that it was going to release only on WiiWare and would be nothing more than a straight-up remake of the original game. Luckily, these rumorsproved to be false. All of these initial fears, though, were immediately alleviated once I viewed this brand new trailer....

Well, it’s finally arrived. Nintendo has putUrban Champion 3Don the 3DS, and it thinks we’re really excited about it. This is, in fact, the best thing that the 3DS has on offer this week, as apparently a “3D Classic” game gives Nintendo a week off of arduously porting a glorified ROM and giving us something we might actually want. Oh Nintendo, whatwillyou do next, you silly f*cking idiots? There are some DSiWare/eShop games to peruse, and as usual they’re either puzzles games or mascot titles that sound like crap Nickelodeon shows —Zoonies – Escape From Makatu,Build-A-Lot, andBlockado....

The videogame industry is utterly f*cking stupid when it comes to secrecy, and nowhere has that become more apparent than with the NPD. For those who don’t know, the NPDcollects sales dataof videogames and consoles in North America. It’s been a valuable tool for those who want to know how the industry’s shaping up, but the NPD is doing all it can tohideits data. Previously, the NPD had stopped sharing sales figures, but it’s now gone one step further and is no longer letting analysts give that data to the game press....

Only one more day untilGrand Theft Auto: The Ballad of Gay Tony. Can you feel it? Rockstar sent out a last-minute trailer, dedicated to Tony’s main man Luis Lopez. Swearing, guys being thrown off of buildings, cursing, helicopters blowing things up, name calling … uh yep, this is theGTAwe know and love.
