But the number of times that I’m failing to achieve tasks seems to be diminishing, which means that the game is either taking pity on me or I’m getting better at it. After a week away at GDC, followed by nearly another week of feeling like I’ve been run over with a freight train, Backlog is finally coming back to the airwaves. We’re going to pick up right where we left of playingSpy Fictionon the PS2. I’m about two-thirds of the way through this one and, to be honest, I don’t really remember my current objective, other than I’m to stop an evil organization from using a experimental weapon that makes monkeys and fat scientists explode on contact....
Today on Destructoid Chill Bros we play around with ourSpare Parts. Join your friends Venom and Carnage as they become robots in this Co-op adventure. This game from EA is fun and a great game to play with a friend, it also has voice acting done by Simon Pegg (Hot Fuzz,Shaun of the Dead). Did you get a PlayStation Move setup? I’m just now getting into mine, but I’m impressed with it so far and I’m looking forward to more series gaming experiences with it. Maybe this new MAG “2.0” patch is the ticket. The patch, which is now available, adds PlayStation Move control support toMAG. To open with what I’m most interested in isn’t fair to this massive patch. Really, that’s just one bullet point on the massive list changes this patch…patches....
Earlier todaywe reportedthat Legendary Pictures were in negotiations to acquireGears of Wardeveloper Epic Games. According to Epic vice president, Mark Rein, the takeover isn’t going to happen. In a conversation withDevelop, Rein called the reports of negotiations “just another rumor.” Unfortunately, the Epic exec wasn’t willing to comment on the substance of the rumor. Instead, he reiterated the same statement he gaveVarietyearlier today by saying that Epic were “very excited” about theGears of Warmovie and have the “highest regard” for Legendary Pictures....
We discovered last month that THQ hadregistered a few domain namestied to theMetro 2033name. Well now THQ has confirmed that the sequel is on the way. It’s going to be calledMetro: Last Lightand that’s all the news we have on that.

Microsoft released a list of the games they will be showing during PAX this year, with nothing out of the ordinary except for the unannounced port ofSonic CDthey have listed under XBox Live Arcade section. Feel free to freak out, and go listen to the theme song on youtube. If you happen to be at PAX you will also get to play it, you lucky devils. While this is not the first time news of aSonic CDport has surfaced, I’m more excited about this since I own an Xbox....

Interestingly, it seems that there will be some variety in what players will receive. Despite being told multiple times that the Xbox 360 version ofFinal Fantasy XIIIwon’t affect the PS3 version, Square Enix still feels the need to reassure worried Sony fans who can’t seem to stop whining about it.
