Modern Warfare 2is, first and foremost, a first-person-shooter, but leaked gameplay footage seems to reveal that Infinity Ward’s latest guaranteed success will be providing some out of body experiences in the form of a brand new third-person viewpoint. According toreports, somebody managed to nab a PS3 version of the game and started live-streaming it to the public. This is where the big reveal was made. As you’re able to see from the video, it’sModern Warfare, but not was we know it....

There’s been bit of confusion going around on the Internet today, following the posting of anOfficial Xbox Magazinevideo on YouTube. In the video, a Capcom Director of Marketing Mike Webster very clearly states that a new set of controls will allow you to “move while you’re shooting.” To me, this was puzzling — I finished playing through the first three chapters of the game last week (can’t talk about it yet, don’t ask), and well… I certainly couldn’t do that with any of the control options....

To the surprise of virtually no one, Sony comesclean and shows their hand early. That’s right boys and girls, the 60GB PS3 is dropping to $499.99 tomorrow (Monday). Not only that, but thatspecial Korean edition of the 80GBPS3 is making it’s way stateside as well. It will retail for $599.99 and come packaged withMotorStorm. So wait, doesn’t that mean Sonylied to us?! Well yes, but only because they wanted to announce it at E3 no doubt....

SpongeBob and THQ have had a scarily successful career in the realm of videogames, and their reign of yellow terror shall continue withSpongeBob’s Surf & Skate Roadtripon November 8th.If you may’t tell, the game will involve surfing and skating and SpongeBob.Surf and Skatewill primarily be a Kinect title, but a DS version is in the works. I find the DS version interesting considering thatTHQ is already putting SpongeBob on the 3DS....

Square’s DS horror offering,Na Nashi no Geemu(Game with No Name), made waves in my consciousness a few months back when somescreenshots were spied in Famitsu. Now that the title is nearing its Japanese release date (July 3rd) more information is hitting the net, including a new trailer and the appearance of theofficial website.While the website is every bit as scary as I hoped for it to be and shows in-game exploration holding the DS like a book, the trailer itself actually shows the “game within a game” that you play as part of the storyline, which draws a sharp contrast to the spooky atmosphere with a sudden dose ofDragon Warrior-style graphics and music....

If you log in to Twitter and see a bunch of Tweets saying “Just boughtIndigo Prophecy,” as I did this evening, there’s a very good reason. It’s because the thing costs $3.39 on Steam right now. With Christmas around the corner, Valve has announced a Steam sale that I would be tempted to callstupid, it’s so full of neat stuff. Indigo Prophecyis but one of the many games going for silly prices right now, and I highly recommend the purchase to anybody yet to play Quantic Dream’s last big game....
