Two new Japanese Phantasy Star trademarks

Sega’s Phantasy Star series has something new coming. We know nothing but the names, and that’s thanks toSiliconera‘s eagle eyed trademark searches. There’s Japanese videogame trademarks for bothPhantasy Star: Eternal PlanetsandPhantasy Star: Eternal Huntersby Sega. We’re with them in thinking that the name sounds like two different versions of the same game. Phantasy Star: Heartgold anyone? Again, we know nothing of what to expect from these titles, or even when to expect them....

UK Midlanders want a ban on violent games

Don’t like something? Ban it! That’s the messagecoming from the Midlandsas family campaigners use fresh “evidence” to call for the removal of violent games. Yet another study claims proof of “aggressive” behavior based on gameplay with blood splatters in them, and now people are getting wrapped up in hysteria. As usual. “In view of the mounting evidence about the power of violent images to engender violent attitudes and behavior, it is grossly irresponsible for manufacturers to devise and market violent video games,” stated Family and Youth Concern spokesman Norman Wells....

Entermodder foo foo, who has brought the PSP’s sexy back like some sort of modding Justin Timberlake....

You can buy this custom Mega Man statue on eBay

Somebody will. I almost chose not to post this story because I’m kinda hoping it might be me. KodyKoala, a toy modder well-known to the Destructoid community, has for the first time ever listed one of his custom toys for sale. The above Mega Man anatomical statue is made with, as KodyKoala says, “robot parts” and is currently taking bidders on eBay. The bidding just opened up and it’s at $26, which seems pretty cheap to me....
