Sony has finally announced a release date and price point for PlayStation Move. Motion control for the PS3 will debut in Europe on September 15th, followed by a North American launch on September 19th, and finally a Japanese release on October 1st. A single wand controller will cost $49.99, and the “Navigation Controller” (i.e., the Move’s “Nunchuk”) will run you an additional $29.99. Two bundles will be available as well. For $99....

Electronic Arts European SVP Jens Uwe doesn’t believe in peace and love. In fact, he is digging the console war as head-to-head competition is very good for third party publishers like EA. “Traditionally, third-party publishers are stronger on Microsoft and Sony platforms than on Nintendo, so 360 and PS3 getting stronger certainly suits us,” says Uwe. “… We could certainly see Sony come back — in the UK it’s still a head-to-head competition between PlayStation and Xbox, but on the continent Sony is traditionally stronger than Microsoft....

With such a heavy focus on co-op and the inclusion ofcertaincharactersinLost Planet 2, I was starting to wonder if there would be any sort of serious story elements in the game, or if you’d simply be tasked with moving from area to area, killing everything in your way. The latter choice would have been perfectly acceptable in my book; not every videogame has to tell a gripping narrative. Based on this latest trailer, though, a full story will be present....

It’s also worth noting how CCP is planning to provide the backstory on this interstellar conflict. It will be told througha novelwritten by Tony Gonzales entitledEVE: The Empyrean Agethat will be releasing on June 19. I do find it a little funny that players won’t knowwhythey’re blowing each others’ ships up until they’ve been at it for a week, though. Have you heard of a game calledFairy Tales: Three Heroes? If not, you can be forgiven, because it was originally announced in October 2007. The game comes from Russia and is supposed to be a humorous action game in which players control a group of three “famous” heroes and protect four different regions from their respective oppressive villains. Now that we’re up to speed, developer Cats Who Play (awesome name) has released a set of new screenshots, and the game is looking quite nice....
