Monday Mind Teasers: G-g-g-g-g-U-nit!

You know how it works! With the help of each other, attempt to figure out all of the disguised game covers. They all share a common theme that, once solved, can help you figure out the harder ones. This week we have a very simple topical theme. Okay, that sounds weird. Like it’s a skin ointment. What I’m trying to say is that this week’s theme is relevant, even if only barely....

Uber Entertainment’sMonday Night Combathas landed on Steam! Those who grab the game before the morning of February 1 will be given some slickTeam Fortress 2items for use inMNC, and vice versa. Mortal Kombat gets some stealth tweaks

NetherRealm sent along some tweaks toMortal Kombatwhile you weren’t looking. A ninja-like stealth hotfix has set some balance changes to the game’s characters without the need for a separately downloaded patch. Neat! Sneaky! CVGsays that this hotfix is actually a temporary fix ahead of a larger update on the way. After the jump you’ll find a full list of the changes, which mostly involves the reduction or increase of damage dealt by characters’ attacks....

New trailer shows off Midnight Club: Los Angeles South Central DLC

Look, I’ve seenBoyz N’ The Hood, OK? And John Singleton’s stark vision of the reality of urban life in south Los Angeles has kept me away from the area for good. Thanks, John. With that in mind, Rockstar’s upcoming South Central downloadable content forMidnight Club: Los Angelesdoesn’t make it look that bad. The cars are nice. So are the bikes. New York Post sues Uwe Boll over Postal web site

It’s known (in the gaming world, at least) that famed game film makerUwe Bolllikes to push people’s buttons, but now it looks like he picked on the wrong people, and they’re taking him to court. In what may be a clever attempt to get back at the New York Post for publishing negative things about one of his movies, Boll made two websites that look similar to the Post’s web site to promote his game-turned-filmPostal....

Ni no Kuni PS3 to digitally include that impressive book

Perhaps the saddest part about the lack of news onNi no Kunigetting a DS release outside of Japan is that we’re missing out on the absurdly cool — and equally lengthy — included “Magic Master” book. It’s not a complete loss, however:Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witchwill give PlayStation 3 players in-game access to a digital version of the book. Not quite as fun to flip through or flashy as the real deal, but it’s a compromise nonetheless....
