[Video removed due to a scary copyright infringement email from Microsoft. NoHalofor you!] We in the ‘hardcore’ demographic of the gaming community might not be quite as hyped forHalo 3as we are forcertain other games, but there’s no denying that the blockbuster title is going to be absolutely huge and things like this clip of manual scans is going to be snapped up by frag-happy obsessives the world over. There’s not much for me to comment on, it’s just some leaked manual scans just in case you can’t wait until September to look at pictures of guns....

I suck at games: But I’m still a gamer

This month’s musing all began with a statement I made to Anthony almost exactly a month ago: “I suck at games.” Now, I didn’t make this revelation just recently. I’ve always kind of known my place and dealt with it in silence. But I had a particularly bad day that day; when I couldn’t get past a boss in‘Splosion Man, I went toOverlordthinking I could soothe my bruised ego, but I had left myself in a tough spot there as well....

[It’s time for anotherMonthly Musing— the monthly community blog theme that provides readers with a chance to get their articles and discussions printed on the frontpage. — CTZ] War has changed. The battlefield is a very different place to what it used to be. Tight-knit shootouts in empty corridors, made up of pathways, pipes, dilapidated complexes and bare-textured temples have all but been vanquished. The days in which people would be drawn together by battle, where your strongest of kin could also represent your greatest of enemies, have vanished....

Breathe deep and call a pal… it’s zombie hunting time. A billion years ago, I reviewedFar Cry 2. During the process, my save file corrupted. I didn’t think to mention it; I believed at the time it was a misfortunate and random bug. In addition to fixing the tragic bug, the title update/patch also gives multiplayer a bit of a boost....

Jason Zumwalt, the voice actor behind the excited-by-American-teetees Roman Bellic inGrand Theft Auto IV, is a funny guy. But these are only jokes, people. “I posted a sketch two weeks ago where I spun the Miley Cyrus/Vanity Fairshoot into asick incest thing, and folks thinkthat’sreal,” he told us....

LA Noire concept art looks good, means nothing

There are a few great signs that something is actually vaporware. The most prominent sign is usually a game never actually having a release date, but always being hinted at as being released sometime within the next year. That’s one check forL.A. Noireas we’ve been putting it onmost anticipated listssince its announcement wayback in 2006. The Rockstar published/Team Bondi developed game also lacks a confirmed console (though it is rumored as a PS3 exclusive), which is yet another sign of vaporware, by the way....
