Germans busted in Japan during PC Engine celebration

I’ll come right out and say that I always have had mad love for Hudson, NEC, the PC Engine, the TurboDuo, Bonk, and all related things, but even I missed the 20th birthdate of thePC Engine/TurboGrafx-16on October 30th. Three German fans did not forget, but after being arrested, they might be wishing that they missed the date too. While visiting Tokyo’s electronics mecca Akihabara, the three tourists felt they needed to celebrate (and advertise) by putting up posters and flyers for their sitePCE Daisakusen!...

Godfather II teaser reveals the sordid underbelly of virtual organized crime

I never did play the originalGodfather. Even though the Wii version lets youchoke a b**ch, I just couldn’t get myself interested in what appeared to be a rather average looking game. Maybe it would have been more appealing if I’d seen the movies. After reading Hamza’s generally positivehands onwith the sequel,Godfather II, I must say that I’m at least starting to get curious about the series. The new crew management and Don’s View sound particularly interesting, but then I’ve always been a sucker for RPG and RTS elements....

Ina recent talkwith the LA Times, Gore Verbinksi cited high costs as one of the main reasons for not wanting to do theBioshockfilm that he wasslated to do. The film wasput on holdwhile they investigated the option of shooting the film overseas. Halo Legends looks a bit like M.A.S.K

At least, that’s whatJapanator‘s Zac Bentz says, and I’m inclined to agree with him. Okay, so thisHaloanime stuff looks a bit silly, but it’s guaranteed to be a hit. Some believe that the “fratboy” fans who make up a considerable bulk of the game’s fanbase won’t like this, but those people underestimateHalo‘s ability to draw in a crowd, methinks. I reckon, if anything, it’ll just make those fratboys suddenly decide they’re now anime fans....

Happy Ninja Day: New Ninja Gaiden II footage and images

On this glorious day known as Day of the Ninja, Team Ninja unleashed this very Ninjatastic kill montage fromNinja Gaiden II. Ryu Hayabusa makes easy work of his enemies with his assortment of badass weapons. We also have some very pretty screens that oddly lack any blood. Though there is plenty of blood squirting out of Ryu’s enemies in the above video.I really don’t like the placement of the lifebar. It doesn’t look like it will get in the way of the gameplay, but it just looks ugly....
