Bad story headlines aside, you should know that — after having gotten a nice look at the game at GDC — I’m pretty pumped about Lara Croft’s upcoming adventure. CalledLara Croft and the Guardian of Light, this isn’t your typical tomb-raiding adventure. Crystal Dynamics first download-only title, Guardian of Light is an isometric top down shooter, designed for intense action and cooperative puzzle solving. But one thing it’s not is aTomb Raidergame....

The Chinese government has banned gold farming and trading of virtual currency for real money. This is a big deal for China as about 85 percent of gold farmers are believed to be based in China. Gold farming is believed to generate between 200 million to one billion annually worldwide. The banning is set to have an effect on the hundreds of thousands of people that farm for gold, but that may be a good thing....

You’ve got to love retro game stores. Where else can you go to buy a bunch of games and consoles you used to have (or already have) for five times the price they were originally priced at? Sorry. At its showcase event in San Francisco today, Electronic Arts has announced cross platform play for Scrabble between iOS, Android devices, and Facebook. Up to four players can compete against one another simultaneously, with a cloud save that allows you to stop and pick up your game on any other device on the fly. The Android version of the game hasn’t yet hit the Market, but should be available next week for the nice low price of “free....
