UBM TechInsights VP of technical intelligence David Carey told Eurogamer that the $250 Nintendo 3DS that you’re going to pick up this weekend cost about $100 to make. This is what they gathered from their preliminary estimate, mind you. Carey says that this is about $15 more than what it cost to build the DSi at launch. It’s really hard to look at it this way, but it seems like you could say that $15 more in cost could have added 3D capabilities to the DSi....

It’s sure taken its sweet time, but Travis Touchdown is finally returning to Europe whenNo More Heroes 2hits the PAL territories on May 28. The sequel to Suda 51’s humorous and blood-soaked Wii game has been out in North America since January. Better late than never, right? The game was originally slated for April, but has been pushed back a few weeks. The good news is that Europeans will be getting blood this time around....

While not nearly as exciting asSuper Mario 3D Landreleasing, November will also see the 3DS get a new system update. It’ll introduce the ability to capture 3D video footage, which I predict many of us will use exactly once before forgetting such functionality exists. Beyond that, the update adds more content to the StreetPass Mii Plaza. Grand news for anyone who had their 3DS at PAX Prime last month, I suppose....

Guitar Hero: On Tourwasn’t the only game that was playable at last week’sGuitar Herohands-on event in San Francisco. Activision was also showing off the PS3, 360, and Wii versions ofGuitar Hero: Aerosmith. Since I write very slowly, and obviously can’t remember all the songs that the preview build featured, I’m very glad that RedOctane has provided a list of the 25 songs that we had access to on Wednesday.
