Two months after debuting one of the biggest teases in videogame trailer history, Bethesda has finally released the first in-game trailer forElder Scrolls V: Skyrimtoday. The in-game reveal accompanies the launch of the newly redesignedElderScrolls.com, which will be your source for all thingsSkyrim. I’d tell you what that exactly means, but I can’t load the page — it’s probably getting hammered by everyone on the planet. Skyrim is kind of a big deal....

Friday Night Fights: PAX East edition

Are you at PAX East? If you are, consider me completely jealous. While members of the Dtoid community get to hang out for an awesome week of videogames and great company, I have to stay home this weekend to do work. Sadly, this thesis isn’t going to write itself! If you are like me and didn’t have a chance to make it out to Boston, there is still the opportunity to hang out with your fellow Dtoid community members through Friday Night Fights!...

Games time forgot: Wing Commander III

Okay, okay; I promise, this is the last FMV-heavy forgotten game I will spotlight ever again. Well, not for a long time. Well, not for a few months. Heavy Rain sells more than a million units

We’re pretty sure SCE and Quantic Dreams have already announced that their narrative-driven choose-your-own-adventure game,Heavy Rain, has sold over one million units worldwide. Perhaps as a trick to get us to think it has sold two million units, or because the game simply hasn’t shifted that many units until recently, SCE (viaPlayStation.blog) has announced that the game has sold at least one million units worldwide. Save the golf clap — the game will undoubtedly sell more before it hits bargain bins or clutters “Used” shelves, but it’s nice to know that the duo are being rewarded for the gamble that isHeavy Rain....

IGN phones in top ten toughest games

Yegods, it’s good to be back. Having only yesterday wrapped the last papereverin my English major, I’m still kind of in that academic mindset — you’ll excuse me if I use the words “paradigm” or “ostensibly” in the coming days, as these are words (among numerous others) commonly employed in 400-level English courses to show that I spent four years in college and actually learned something. Anyhow, your good ol’ Linde is back, and he sure did miss the lot of you....

Japan: 3DS and PSP tied up in sales charts

If you want to get technical the 3DS is tops right now in Japan, but just barely. Nintendo’s 3D portable and Sony’s beloved PSP are really close as far as sales figures go. The 3DS only beats the PSP by a few hundred units. The 3DS sales for the week ending March 27 were 50,710, and PSP sales were 50,479. I guess if you want to add in PSP go to the PSP sales, then Sony actually manages to beat the 3DS out with 51,079....

To say that fans have been upset by Capcom’s cancellation ofMega Man Legends 3is to say that Mega Man likes blue pants. If you hadn’t seen ourprevious coverageofNo Time To Explain, well, I imagine the image above is making you regret that decision. As of right now, it’s sitting at nearly $11,000, and for good reason — both in terms of the rewards offered ($5 acts as a pre-order, for example) and the information provided on where the money will go....
