Square Enix has announced some of the talent which will be lending their voices to the localization of newParasite Evesequel,The 3rd Birthday. Yvonne Strahovski, star of NBC’s geek-favoriteChuckand voice of Miranda Lawson inMass Effect 2will be providing the voice for Aya Brea. Jensen Ackles, from the seriesSupernatural, will be playing Kyle Madigan.
I don’t typically approve of the practice of hiring voice talent from a pool of visual arts performers. There’s a wealth of very talented people who work very, very hard solely as voice actors who might be less marketable but offer so much more in terms of skill and talent due to their focus. I like both of these actors, but I like them as television actors, not for their voices. If they do a great job, then I suppose I’ll have nothing to complain about. Here’s hoping.
The 3rd Birthdaywill release for PSP on March 29th in North America.
