Renegade Kid’s next title isATV Wild Ride. Yes, it’s totally not what you were expecting based on its track record with theDementiumseries andMoon. The game is aiming to be the best ATV experience you can get on the DS with 24 tracks spanning the US, Thailand, England, Russia, Canada and Mexico, in addition to four-player multiplayer, 60 frames-per-second and the ability to perform dozens of “wild” tricks.
While a racing game may have been the last thing you were ever expecting, it’s actually “been a dream” of both Jools Watsham and Gregg Hargrove, the Co-founders of Renegade Kid, to make a “fast-paced arcade racing game for the DS with the Renegade Engine.”
They both wanted to make a racing title, they just weren’t sure what type of theme to go with. That is until Jools played Black Rock Studio’s racerPure,which got him thinking:why there isn’t there anything like this for the handheld? Jools went on to tell us that “there are only a few developers and publishers out there willing to put all of their effort into making great DS titles these days, which is a pity.”
