Sega’s second line-up of self-proclaimed classics for Xbox LIVE Arcade and PlayStation Network, dubbed Vintage Collection 2, has received a solid release date. On June 10,Gunstar Heroes,Altered Beast,Shinobi(arcade version),Comix Zone,Phantasy Star 2, andSonic the Hedgehog 3are all making their way to XBLA.
On June 11, however, onlyGunstar Heroesis hitting PSN. Where’s the love? Additionally, we are also told thatSonic and Knucklesis headed for XBLA sometime this summer.
All of the titles excludingPhantasy Star 2,Comix Zone, andShinobiwill have network functionality, and the entire Vintage Collection 2 contains support for online leaderboards and has the option to HD-ify the games if you want (trust me, you don’t).
In case you recently experienced memory loss and forgot what these videogames look and sound like, Sega has tossed over a trailer with footage of the lot of ’em.
