This has not been a very pleasant week forFallout 3fans, to say the least. Yesterday,we told youabout the install errors for the PC version of “Broken Steel,” which we have since learned is somehow related to theGames for Windows LIVE DRM.

The DLC was pulled from the GFWL Marketplace, but if you were able to download the corrupt “Broken Steel” file before its removal, you might be able to successfully download a working version. Instructions for how to do socan be found here. For everyone else, it appears that Bethesda is in the process of uploading a new, functional version.

On the Xbox 360 side of things, the “Broken Steel” content appears to be fully playable, but features one slight problem with Achievements. While players have been able to unlock them, they aren’t being fully credited on Xbox LIVE with the points due to a synchronization issue.

The good news? No one will lose any Achievements, and Microsoft is attempting to remedy the situation.
