Back in the day,Unreal— the game, not the engine — was the hotness. It was absurdly fast-paced and addictive and, sadly, hasn’t been mentioned since it’s lackluster appearance on PS3 in 2007. We’re not the only ones who’ve noticed this absence as it seems Epic studio head Mike Cappsshares that sentiment.
“It’s been a long time since we shipped anUnrealgame, and it’s an awfully loved franchise that we hold pretty dear here. We haven’t been giving it the attention it deserves because we’ve been focusing onGears of Warand we’re still a relatively small company,”
AfterGears 3, a newUnrealgame would be an appreciated change of pace. Don’t misunderstand,Gearsis great, but no series does it likeUnreal. Maybe I need to make the 2-hour drive to Cary, NC and make it happen.
