Perhaps not happy withGhost Recon Predator— a title previously outed by the OFLC — Ubisoft has been doing some trademarking in its spare time.

Its newesttrademarkacquisition is for aGhost Recon Future Soldier. ToWikipedia!

Future Soldier is the overall name given to a multi-nation military project by the United States and its allies launched in the late 1990s. Future Soldier is also name of the major international military exhibition for NATO and Partnership for Peace members.

What’s unclear is if bothPredatorandFuture Soldierare titles in-development with Ubisoft, or if it’s just two names for the same product. I mean, how manyGhost Recongames could Ubisoft possibly be working on? Well, considering the publisher released one a year from its 2001 debut through 2007, my guess is a lot. A lot ofGhost Recons.
