Despite Jim’srecent rantingsthe worlds of film and gaming are growing ever closer. We can argue over whether this is a boon or a detriment to gaming all we want, but when this fact means that Destructoid’ssistermanly brother film site,Flixist, gets to check out a hotly anticipated game at a premiere film festival it’s hard for us at Flixist not to call it a boon. The game was Rockstar’s upcomingL.A. Noireand the festival was this year’s Tribeca, going on right now in the grand old city of New York.

Flixist is there checking out the films and hanging out with celebs (likeCaptain America himself) and we managed to wander into (read: invited to) a panel and demo forL.A. Noirethat Rockstar held. Headover thereto read all about the game’s first murder, whatL.A. Noirewas inspired by and just why it was showing up at a film festival in the first place.
