As if I needed another reason to be excited forDragon Age: Origins, along comes news that Tim Curry, star of such films asThe Rocky Horror Picture Show,ITand of course,Fern Gully, will be lending his unmistakable voice to BioWare’s latest RPG. Effing sweet!

The game will also feature Kate Mulgrew, who sci-fi nerds will know as Captain Janeway fromStar Trek: Voyager. That doesn’t matter, however, because Tim Curry is in it and Tim Curry outranks all other celebrities.

“Tim Curry will play the villainous Arl Rendon Howe,” states BioWare. “Howe is the calculating villain, cultured and charming, with an insatiable lust for power, who never hesitates to harm anyone who gets in his way. Kate Mulgrew will lend her vocal flair to Flemeth, a powerful witch who maintains her immortality through the darkest of means, and who plays a pivotal role in the player’s survival. Both roles provide the actors with the opportunity to bring their considerable talents to bear in their portrayal of these characters.”

This is one of my more anticipated games of the year and I really can’t wait to get to grips with it in November. Next week, we have a full preview of the game coming, so make sure you’re reading Destructoid for that. If you love RPGs, you’d be an idiot not to keep an eye out on this one.
