There’s nothing an awkward, socially maladjusted dweeb likes more than to put on a tux and get an award. It makes him feel a part of the “normal” world, you see. EnterIndependent Games Festival, which despite my ribbing, is really pretty freaking badass. This event helps to spotlight indie gamers working hard to get their work to see the light of day, aiding such refreshing delights as The Behemoth’sAlien Hominidto make it’s way to PS2. For those of you sick and tired of hearing the bleating of sheep from the major game companies, you’ll want to keep your eyes on events like this. They also give awards for mods, which is far past due in my not so humble opinion. Dtoid will be there reformatting the VIP suite to our own wicked devices, so expect full coverage come March 2007.
