Looks like someone at the House of Nintendo was feeling like sequels this week. WhileVigo/Chad Concelmoreadies his death laser, allow me to share the weekly Virtual Console releases with you so you can cheer or wail in the comments below.
The Adventures of Lolo 2(NES, 1 player, 500 Wii points) is the sequel to the original Lolo, a cutesy puzzle title for NES. When I think about my reaction toLolo, I think it’s a reaction about 98% based on the fact that I don retrogoggles for most all my NES memories, so I can’t tell you much about whether this game will be worth your Wii points or not. I can tell you, however, that you can get a review of the title next week if you tune intoRetroforceGo, Destructoid’s retro-centric podcast that comes out every Monday. Woo! Shameless plug!
Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers(SNES, 1-2 Players, 800 Wii points) may be more worthy of excitement, retrogoggles or not. ClassicStreet Fighteris the bestStreet Fighter, as anyone with a brain and a clenched fist knows, and besides, we prefer outStreet Fighterpenis-free, thank you very much.SSS IIat least allows you to enjoy a solid fighting experience BTAP (before the advent of penis.)
Per the usual, the new games are available at 9 am Pacific time, which is….NOW! Wake up if you want em, west coast peeps. Full press release is after the jump.
