Activision and Treyarch have announced today that a thirdCall of Duty: World at Warmap pack, “Locked and Loaded,” is due for release in August.
“Locked and Loaded” will feature three new multiplayer maps — “Battery,” “Revolution,” and “Breach” — along with one new Zombie Mode map, “Der Riese.” As expected, these will be available for download on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360; no word on pricing.
It’s a bit surprising to see content forWorld at Warstill continues to get released, especially as we get closer to the release ofModern Warfare 2. Still, World at War is still a pretty popular online multiplayer game, and I suppose it doesn’t hurt to keep theCall of Dutybrand fresh in everyone’s mind going in the holiday.
Do you guys think thatWorld at Warwill continue to be relevant onceModern Warfare 2hits shelves? Or will gamers only be playing these new maps for a few months before moving on?
